Sorry i couldn't visit any of your
woyww desks last week but where we were staying in Holland they didn't have internet......which is a first for me, next time I'll take my own laptop and find wifi, on the plus side I did find some good shops but I think the market at Eindhoven was great because I've never seen so many stalls selling trims before and luckily they spoke English so I got to buy lots of braids and lace, on my workdesk today I'm half way through a project for this weeks Compendium of curiosities......but I've come to abit of a standstill, sometimes I can't work out what I want to do next so knowing me I'll wake up in the middle of the night with an idea......I think it'll be a page for my mini album about Venice that I've been working on for ages....hmmm!!
my lovely trims from the Eindhoven market.
some of the goodies I brought from Holland
this is one of the rooms at the Memory Museum at Heezch
they had so much card stock I didn't know where to start,
upstairs they have show cases with finished projects, and a museum as well as a vintage craft room with even more goodies to chose from
Have a happy woyww day
and I'm looking forward to visiting your craft desks
hugs from Daniele x

What gorgeous trims you've bought! I love Holland and find everyone to be so friendly - and the fact they all speak English helps a lot!

xx
What a lovely lot of stash you have bought there! great tidy desk too and love those crafty individuals stamps. I too wake up in the middle of the night (like now!) with ideas and have to get up and make them otherwise I a. lie awake for hours thinking about it and then b. forget it in the morning! I went to Holland and found the only grocers that didnt speak English so had to pile of load of potatoes up in my arms (I got filthy) as they couldnt understand my interpretation of "have you got a bag!". Happy days.
ReplyDeletewow, your trip sounds wonderful, lace and trim and that amazing shop of card stock!
ReplyDeleteI too remember going to a market in Holland having lots of stalls selling trims - never saw that in Malta. It's nice isn't it! There were a couple of ladies selling decoupage sheets too. Glad you enjoyed it
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely lace and look at all that paper. Sorry I'm a bit late this week as blogger has ben playing up! Pam
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely time and you got some beautiful laces and things to play with!
ReplyDeletethat Museum looks like a crafters heaven, would say on the mag fron t that Craft Stamper is really good and full of original items & techniques, not just cards or scrap pages
ReplyDeletesorry mag comment was for someone else . . doh!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat stash! How long were you in the store? :) From the looks of it, I'd want to stay all day!
ReplyDeleteah! I need to get to Holland quick! love those trims and that museum! wow! I know where I want to go on vacation next! thanks for visiting my desk ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful goodies you collected. I agree with the other commentors, a trip to Holland looks defintely a must if they have wonderful shops like this. The chocolate in Bruges looks amazing too. Mmmm I think I might have to drop some big hints about a weekend away!!
ReplyDeleteI love my purple tidy tray too but only use it for embossing powders, glitter seems to stick to the plastic and like you say you end up covered in it. I find good old folder card works best with glitter.
Hugs Lisax
Can't wait to see what you create with your great finds.
ReplyDeleteWow, you chose a good place for a holi!! Ilove the idea of wandering a big market finding bits and pieces like that.
