Diddy Doodles.....

Loving the name of this new challenge blog that Nikky from Polkadoodles has started, to join in the fun you have to be 16 or under and she has recruited two very talented girls Caitlin who is 15 and Darcie who is 7 to inspire. The challenge will be over a month so no shirking on the homework....lol.
The theme this month is ......Thank You.

Review of 2011.....

Thought I'd do a review of 2011 and pick my favourite projects from each month, this year I've split this into 2 posts this one is for my favourite arty projects and the next is for my favourite cutie images, the year has gone so quick and there are lots of exciting things to look forward to in the New Year, unfortunately I didn't win the lottery so I shall still be going to work......which plays havoc to my waist line.......lol.  Have you all made your New Year Resolutions, mine are: try and slim down, notice I say try...... at school I was told to try harder, not sure how long that resolution will last, another is to decorate the inside of my cards as I tend to focus on the front and neglect the inside and my final one is to start Scrapbooking again as I haven't done a LO in a couple of years and I've got lots of fabbie pics, and I thought if I did that I'd get through my stash alot quicker and then I wouldn't feel gulty  when I brought more because.....well....... I'd need it.....lol.

New Year.......exciting news!!!!!

Just had to let you know that Nickky from Polkadoodles has launched a new stamp club

Pen & Paper Circle is the brand new Polkadoodles Club!

*No costly membership signup*

Choose which issues you wish to subscribe to on pre-order only....

See the kit design before you order!

Great value!

Following the huge success of our Christmas magazine in conjunction with Practical Publishing we were overwhelmed with requests to produce a regular project magazine. So, we decided to go one better and give you an exclusive project kit AND magazine instead!!

Each Club issue will include a special exclusive* set of Polymer stamps, a printed paper pack, special Club offers and discounts PLUS our special, EXCLUSIVE CREATIVE CHRONICLE Club magazine which gives you 12 full colour step by step tutorials and inspiration on how to use your kit, with special projects from Nikky and the amazingly talented Design Team. Each magazine issue will include special offers and news from Polkadoodles, together with a preview of the upcoming next issue.

We realise this is not the cheapest Club around but QUALITY is really important to us and rather than give you a crummy photocopied badly instructed project sheet with your stamps we decided to go the whole hog and get our brilliant Design Team to contribute with Nikky instead. We are certain this magazine will be a collectable and we are working on bringing you some added extra's such as an organiser binder etc to build your tutorial library. Each issue will include at least 12 step by step tutorials complete with full colour photographs and loads of hints and tips from the team which will prove invaluable.

PRE-ORDER BY 18TH JAN 2012 (orders will ship 15th Feb 2012)
This first issue includes 10 printed A4 papers and an A6 Polymer stamp set as per graphic attached (includes large girl stamp, sentiment stamp and 2 flowers) together with the first Creative Chronicle issue.

Today we are having the first day of our party buffet at work, for two days we bring in party food and then we have a buffet lunch, I do it over two days as all the staff don't work on the same day and I don't want anyone to miss out so its party time again tomorrow as well.....yummy. Polka Doodles......

Morning peeps are you getting excited yet another week to go and its .......CHRISTMASSSSSS!!!, sorry I'm getting a little carried away with myself, have finished the last of the shopping yesterday, we went to Leicester with Ethan  who demolished his Grandads scone with cream when we went for a coffee, getting it all over his nose, fingers and just about any where else he could but he so enjoyed it, we had brought him a childs picnic box meal with fruit, cisps, sandwhich and drink in, but he pinched the scone before we'd even sat down and his poor Grandad had to go and get himself another cake .....this time he came back with a strawberry tart covered in yummy strawberries and Ethan pinched some of them as well, not only that he ate his crisps and banana from his meal as well, hes getting expensive to take out......lol

Todays card is for the new challenge at Polka Doodles which I picked......the theme is 'Through the Window' so you're looking through to the design, apologies if this is a bit of a challenge but it is the last one until the new year, we will be back on Jauary 6th with a new challenge for, and there is also a £10 giveaway to spend at Polka Doodles for one random lucky person.

As soon as I had a play with the stamps called Be Neighbours I knew I wanted to create a Christmas scene, the image has been coloured with Prisma pencils on Kraft with lots of sparkle I used a white gel pen for the snow effect, the papers are from The Magical Winter Cd 2 and the tree and sentiment is from The Christmas Boutique pack which was brought out earlier in the year and is available at WH Smiths.....you get stamps, embellishments, papers, stickers and an inspirational booklet by the teamies over at Polka Doodles. the snow on the windows is Flower Soft and looks realistic although it stuck all over the acetate window due to static......lol, so I spent alot of time cleaning the window.

Stepper card.....

Morning peeps hope you all had a lovely weekend, I've managed to get two of the christmas trees up yesterday, only one to go in my sons room, but I need to get in his room first with a duster and a vacumn cleaner and hes busy fininshing off a project that he is doing at University so it might have to wait a couple of days. It took me all day to get the trees up and decorate the room and I'm pooped not only that I'm now coming down with a cold and my sore throat is coming back.....drat. I've ,well I say I, what I really mean is my son has popped on another blog background so that its also dressed for Christmas........which I think looks so sweet. I thought I'd post a non Christmas card today as I spent the early part of yesterday morning doing a production line of Christmas cards ready to post this week, just need to finish them off. The image comes from Pretty Tuff which is the latest Cd from Nickky at Polkadoodles  the papers and sentiment are also from the same Cd. I made the teddy by covering a diecut in matching paper distressed the edges and then added glossy accents onto the diecut sprinkling in silver glitter.....you get a lovely glossy sparkly bear which makes a great embellishment for this sweet image. The matching buttons are also a die from Dy-namics.

Off to work now, I've relented and let the staff start playing Christmas music
for the next two weeks, as soon as I go out the back I just know they'll change the Cd
to play Slade or Wizard rather than something more traditional and the volume seems to go up as well......hmmmm!
We shall all be wearing our Christmas head gear, I ussually have a halo.......lol, well I have to look angellic,
the others have Santa hats or Reindeer antler bands so we all look festive and have some fun
as it will be soooooo busy for the next two weeks.......well I hope it is.

Polkadoodles.......

Morning peeps .......what a week I've had, feeling ill for most of it, but at least my throat is alot better, just felt ill all day yesterday and ended up going back to bed......which is a no no for me, however my grandson came up and put tinsel all over me whilst I was trying to get some sleep so I must have looked a right sight in bed decked out in gold and red tinsel.........bless.
The theme this week at Polkadoodles is ........'a quick Christmas card', actually I think I'd  better get my skates on as I still need to make a few more otherwise it will be shop brought again this year. I really need to start earlier.......think that will be one of New Year resolutions.
The image  used is from Magical Winter CD 1 and all I've done is added a bit of colour using Flex markers and sparkle. the card was embossed with a snowflake embossing folder and the background paper is also from the same Cd, just added doodling for an accent.

Vintage Christmas......

Afternoon peeps just go back from Jam Jam Boomerang, the soft play area for Grandchildren and their nanas.....lol. I wore ordinary trousers today instead of jeans and you go down the slides much faster, infact probably a bit too fast. Oh well we had fun although I shall ache again tomorrow. I have the mother of all sore throats and I've had it for over two days now,my glands in my neck are all up and I'm beginning to look like a hamster I can hardly swallow and none of the throat sparays are making a difference, think if its no better tomorrow I shall have to pay a visit to the docs, never had a sore throat like it before and I've run out of ice lollies.
Todays card is using a feebie down load from Cuddly  Buddly by Karen Middleton called Holly Bauble, the papers and ribbons are from Cart-Us which I found at my local garden centre Melbicks, they have a good craft department there so I can combine looking for things for the garden as well as things for crafting and they have animals, birds, reptiles and fish for Ethan to have a look at.
