Another Tilda Christmas Card

This weeks sketch over at 'Stamp with Fun' is a nice simple one but you can do alot with it,the challenge at 'Die cut Dreams' theme this week is ribbons and trims which ties in nicely with the sketch and finally at 'Simon Says' the colourway theme is red and green, I hope they let me off with the smidge of gold on the dress....I didn't have a round sentiment stamp so I made my own and turned it into a bauble, the striped background paper has been embossed with a snowflake design.

Ring Ring......

Here's a piccie of my Grandson Ethan he loves the telephone so when we changed our phone recently we popped the old one in his toy box, as you can see he's loves it......It's his 1st Birthady on Friday so we're off to his pirate birthday party...can't wait but where did the year go????

Stamp Something

The theme this week is a favourite sketch,I fell in love with this one from the crafters companion challenge and although I didn't use it for their challenge I just had to have a go using the layout for the Stamp Something Challenge. I applied a liquid gloss to the candy cane but next time I,ll use glossy accents as the other that I used was to runny and harder to control where it ran so it wasn't my best effort better luck next time. Also entered card into Spoon full of Sugar challenge as its "Christmas" for the theme this week and also Creative card crew's challenge theme is "All that Sparkles"

Busy Busy Busy

Today sees the launch of the 1/2 price box of chocs in store only £5 this year so I,m off to work earlier as we will be busy today with the early bird Christmas shoppers I must admit I've made a start myself I just need to start making cards though as everyone has said they don't want a brought one this year...... no pressure lol

Joint Effort

The image has been coloured in with watercolour crayons by my daughter who pinched some of my stamped images that were waiting to be coloured (she calls it grownup colouring) so I pinched the coloured image back and made the card. I have entered it into the following challenges One Stop Craft Challenge as the theme was teddy bears, I followed the sketch from Everybody Art, I love this sketch and will definately be using it again and lastly I also entered it into Secret Crafter Challenge as it was entitled "one for the girls" very girly card with pink and lace and it was made by 2 girls lol........

Create 4 Fun Challenge

I loved the challenge of this card as I had never tackled a shaped card before you can tell I'm a newbie.....I tripled embossed the foil part and then rubbed it over with bronze to dull it down a little seems... to work ok used twinkling H2O's and cosmic shimmer for the colouring..... not the best of colouring due to trying to paint at night

Penny Black/Sketch Saturday Challenge

I got up this morning not intending to make my grandsons 1st birthday card but as I started this card for the Penny Black Chalenge it kinda developed and I loved the sketch over on Sketch Saturday so out came the lace and pearls and voila my card, I think I will add a number one and maybe his name on it not sure yet!!!! Added three flowers as per the sketch and also entered it into Charisma Cardz challenge as well not bad for an early mornings work... must stop getting up so early but then my creative juices seem better in the morn. rather than at night

Rosie Dees challenge

thought I'd enter the card below into another challenge over at Rosie Dee as the criteria is square and rectangle

Magnolia Challenge and Stamp Something Challenge card

Todays challenge is a sketch by the talented Bev so rather than leave it till the last minute I thought better get going straight away, nice simple sketch to follow but you can do more with it than something thats a wee bit complicated.Again trying bolder colours with embellishments but using my favourite colour combo of pink/purple so decided to enter it in the Stamp Something Challenge as good is that!

Magnolia Design

I  used the sketch from Stamp with  fun challenge and used embossed papers with dots on that was the criteria for the Magnolia challenge last about leaving it to the last minute. The card has a shabby look about it Everybody Art challenge this week is Shabby so thought why not so that 3 in 1. I hope I,ve met the criteria for all 3 challenges.

Challenge card

I decided to enter this card into  three challenges this week Sugar Nellie challenge was colours to include Pink and brown, Charizma Kards was to use patchwork in your design and Papertake weekly was entitled Faking it, I used faux stitching on the patchwork patch and strips of card for the thread effect in the buttons to meet the criteria for that challenge.

Christmas is just around he corner

You know when summer has nearly finished and winters on the way when you spend the day making up Christmas display units ready for an early bird christmas offer of 1/2 price chocs, I managed to make up 6 units in less than an hour its like origami but a bigger version and usually I pull my hair out with fustration but this time they were easy, I've either got better at following instructions (due to all this papercrafting) or they know I struggle making them up and took pity on me and made them easier to assemble, either way I finished all 6 without swearing once (a personal record).Lots of great challenges out there this week and I'm getting my thinking cap on for them the only problem is getting decent enough light to photograph them in time to join in.

Stamp Something Special Challenge

On this card I have included my favourite embellishment, I actually have two they are lace and flowers and I use them quite alot as you can see from a previous card below so this was a nice and easy challenge to enter

Creative Card Crew Challenge

This weeks challenge is a fairy design so I have used one of my favourite stamps from Crafty Individuals and the tag was made from a stamp that was a freebie in the Craft Stamper magazine a few months back. I have painted the design in my fave paints cosmic shimmer

Everybody Art Challenge

Part One in the trilogy- the tag was a skull die cut that I triple embossed and stamped torn paper to match the CD card.

Stamp with Fun Challenge

Part two in the trilogy of challenges thought this idea was also a great way of putting money in a card instead of a CD now I know that we are supposed to use a cute stamp for this challenge but the person who this card is going to is CUTE so I hope that I will be forgiven for my interpretation of the meaning of 'cute '

Create 4 Fun Challenge

Part three. I love the sketch that is on last weeks challenge i.e. saturday. I started to think about which design I was going to use and then I saw the challenge on Stamp with Fun that was for a CD card and the old grey matter started to work and then lo and behold Everybody Art challenge this week was a tag---- that was it I linked all three challenges together and decided on a bit of 'Rock N Roll'

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

This weeks challenge is a colour recipe Pink and Green I love this design stamp by Penny black I've included paper ribbon curls

Simon Says Challenge

Simon Says Challenge
This weeks challenge is  an Oriental Design. I've painted it with Twinkling H20's and included a fan made from vellum.
