Scrap Wedding Lay out......

Morning and welcome to another one of my lay outs of my daughters wedding, I have been playing about with this one for the past couple of weeks on and off. The flowers I stamped and embossed in Wow fine gold, the stamps are from Heartfelt Creations. I then painted the flowers with Twinkling H20s before cutting them out with the matching dies, and you definitely need the dies to make it easier as each flower has at least 4 layers. I have used various Kaisercrafts stamps for the rest of the embossing around the edges of the page and the butterflies and trellis. The papers are from Papermania.

The background paper is from DCWV and is from the wedding stack, I used PaperArtsy Snowflake Fresco paint around the edges and then embossed in gold on top of that I then used Treasure Gold White Fire around the edge, I also added paint splatters over the rest of the paper.

Flower stamp and matching dies are from Heartfelt Creations
Tattered Blossoms HCPC 3468.

Happy Valentines Day.......

Morning fellow bloggers Happy Valentines Day, phew it sure was busy at work yesterday with all those people buying their loved ones choccies, have to say it was mostly guys in the afternoon making a last minuet dash.
I've had a go at making some cards using the same techniques as I did for my book box, this one uses the cupid die cut from Tim Holtz as well as The Tattered Flower die which I cut down, I then used Bronze and Magenta Viva Maya Gold paint .

PaperArtsy launch....

Thought I would share with you my other two samples that I made using the Elizabeth Borer stamps, this time I made a master board using lots of different Fresco paints, Purple Rain, Pansy, Lavender, Wisteria, Vintage Lace, Nougat, Haystack and Vanilla, I dabbed all these colours over a piece of Smoothy card (available from PaperArtsy) with a baby wipe and then finished off with Pumpkin Soup translucent paint.......it's amazing how an orange colour can bring the rest of colours to life. After the paint had dried I spritzed the card with Glimmer mist iridescent gold.  After that I cut the card up for the different backgrounds. For these two cards I used  the stamp set below, a lovely collection of Art Nouveau inspired designs.

I coloured in the image with Polychromous pencils, and layered up the top 3 flowers, I aslo added glossy accents to the hair embellishment. The lace I coloured in with Wisteria and the brushed with White Fire treasure gold

The waterfall card is simply 4 images coloured in with different colour ways for the flowers.

Thanks for taking a peek

Evening and apologies for this late post, I have to confess I forgot to schedule my card for the Kraftyhands challenge today, head like a sieve and this evening I have my two Grandsons for a sleep over so I've managed to get Zachary asleep and in bed so just one to go, mind you Ethan could probably out stay me up tonight so I'm just managing to type this now.
The theme this month at Kraftyhands is ........Hearts and Flowers, perfect for Valentines day, however I have  made an anniversary stepper card from the Garden Floral Cd.

New PaperArtsy launch......

Welcome to my first post featuring one of the new stamp sets designed by Elizabeth Borer which are launched on the PaperArtsy blog tonight at 7:30pm. I was thrilled to bits to be asked by Leandra to be one of Liz's wingmen, although I have to say I was a smidge daunted by the task as Liz's work is amazing, I love her vintage style and colouring. So here is the first of my projects that I did using stamp set EEB05.......A heart hanging.

The stamp set that I used was

I used Polychromos pencils to colour in the main image and then sprinkled gold embossing powder around the torn edges, The heart base was first coloured in with Nougat Fresco paint and then I dabbed on Wisteria, Vanilla and then used Pumpkin Soup translucent over the top. Love how you get a depth of layers by using the translucent paint on the top. The lace was coloured with Wisteria and then I added White Fire Treasure Gold on to it, the flower was done the same way. I stamped the swirl stamp with egg plant and then stamped and coloured in the single poppy stem before stencilling a diamond using a sparkle paste from Imagination Crafts. I then added Treasure Gold to the edges before attaching the wire and ribbon.
Tomorrow I will be sharing with you a card that I made using the same stamp set

Seeds of Love......

Morning to all you crafty bloggers out there, brrrr what a cold few days we have had, and yay we finally got a smidge of snow here although it only lasted a few hours, at least I got to wear my snow boots that I brought last year in readiness.
Tomorrow sees the launch of the latest Cd from the guys at Kraftyhands over at The British Craft Network called Seeds of Love , you can catch their show at 1100am, this is another vintage one featuring lovely floral vintage seed packets designs, again lots of lovely papers and details that you can add to your card. The Rose topper has been layered up and I have then added gold frantage to the edges for a smidge of shimmer.
