butterfly hanging.........

Morning peeps hope you are not flooded in with all the rain we had again yesterday, the storm clouds look like they are gathering as I type. We seem to be skipping a season and heading straight into winter, the heating has had to go on in our house.....brrrrr.
I thought I'd share with you a card that I made using one of the lush new stamps from Crafty Individuals, they popped through my door a day before I went on holiday......torture as I couldn't play with them straight away, I coloured this one in whilst I was in Italy, now I'm not sure about birds so I turned mine into a Robin and then saw the words Spring so my bird was probably meant to be a Sparrow............mine is just having a hot flush thats all.
I used Victorian velvet and the new Peacock feathers distress inks and a corner stencil from CI to colour the background fabric, the lace I gathered up for the background of the image, the stick I coloured with Prisma pencils as was the image and I added a Crystal drop to the ends of the stick. The stick started life as a skewer for a burger, my family know what I'm like now for recycling things for my projects so I have quite a collection.I layered up the bird, butterflies and eggs for added dimension.

The shabby binding is from Live and love Crafts......totally addicted to this.....lol, the sweet little flowers with diamantes, the stamp and the stencil can all be found at Crafty Individuals.
Don't forget there are just a few days left to enter this months challenge and don't forget you can get a 25% off your purchases as well a maybe winning the fabbie prize.

Christmas sparkle......

Morning peeps I thought I'd share with you this card I made featuring one of the new stamps from Crafty Individuals, such a sweet deer image, they dropped through my letterbox a couple of days before I went on holiday and I just had to have a play with at least one of them before I went away. The others I stamped up and took on holiday to colour. I used a Imperial Purple from Versamark to ink the image and then embossed with Aurora from Cosmic Shimmer to get a lovely deep coloured sparkle. I coloured in the image with Prisma pencils picking out colours from the Christmas background paper which is also from Crafty Individuals. The snowflake is done using Frantage powders, glitter and flakes and is topped off with a bow using the delish crinkled seam binding from Live and Love Crafts.

Ooh La la.............

Bonjour or should that be Buon Giorno......as I am back off my hols in Italy, we had a wonderful time, the weather was fabbie at about 28 degrees not too hot with a lovely breeze, got lots of colouring done.....I know I'm sad I sit outside colouring in images when I'm on my holls, but for me its soooooo relaxin' and if I read a book I nod off.
A big thank you for all the lovely comments left on scheduled posts and I'm hoping to pop by later after all the washing has been done........thats the worst thing about holidays all the washing to be done.

Well today sees the start of a new challenge over at Ooh La La Creations and the the theme this week is If the shoe fits, for my card I have used Shoes in Bloom part 2 Cd, layering up parts of the flowers for a more dimensional look. love the rich colours of this and they are perfect for our Indian Summer that we are having at the moment.

Sugar Creek Hollow.........

Afternoon peeps well its Saturday and that means I'm back off my holls tomorrow...........oh well I'm having a couple of days off before restarting work, break myself in gently as I kn0w we will be doing early Chrstmas  and Halloween as soon as I get back.
The theme this week at Sugar Creek Hollow  is Pretty In pink so we want to see your Vintage or Shabby Chic pink monochromatic designs. I have used an old stamp by Papermania and stamped it on to fabric that I had coloured using distress stains and then went over it with picket fence for a more washed out look, I then picked out the roses and leaves by colouring them with Promarkers, after that I spritzed heirloom gold over the top for a more vinatge look, the rose was made by spritzing paper with glimmer mist, the stamp I used is from the Artistic Stamper and I added the wire and pearl to the centre. The papers are Pion from   Live and Love Crafts as is the seam binding. I'm so loving Frantage at the moment so the heart chipboard shape has been embossed with added flakes and glitter for that lovely texture. The gorgeous lace is from Crafty Individuals.

Sugar Creek Hollow...........

Afternoon peeps hope you are all well, this is a scheduled post as I'm in Italy, hopefully the sun is shining for you all as well as me, cos we so derserve some sun after this wet Summer.
The challenge this week at Sugar Creek Hollow is use fabric but no ribbon or lace........this is a toughie because I lurvvvvvve my lace, so I thought I'd do the next best thing and create a ruffle of fabric to go around the main image which I used TAP paper for ......really easy to use and keeps all the colour of the main image when transfering onto the fabric available from Crafty Individuals, I then stitched down the pearls on top of the ruffle, I wanted it to still look kinda shabby so I frayed the edges. I used the corner Anja die to create the square background. The delish papers are Pion Cherry Blossom available from Live and Love Crafts .......as is the lovely seam binding that I used for the bow. I even stitched down the buttons and around the edges of the paper.............never done so much sewing....lol. although it was a struggle to thread the needle.

Thanking you for your comments
will catch up when I get back
