Halloween album......

Morning peeps, hope you all survived the storm, to be honest it wasn't that bad in the midlands just lots of rain but we ussually miss the worst of everything including the snow....which is annoying because I pay my rates the same as everyone else and I do love abit of snow, this weekend sees the marathon of sleepovers, two Grandsons to look after whilst Mum and Dad are away.....need to plan some activities in although Ethan is at school now so hopefully he'll be pooped in the evening after doing homework.....now that takes me back I helped with homework before with my kids and got .....see me written in their book cos I got it wrong....never again, too embarrasing.

Well I think I've finished my album that I started with Moxley girls a couple of weeks ago, the lovely Clare Charvill was the teacher for this but I kinda got carried away when I got back after opening up the glitter pot.I say I think because I'm sure to add some more tags when I see how much room is left after the photos have been added. The papers are Graphic 5 Steampunk spells.
Lots of piccies for you showing all the pages and flaps, just got to put in the photos of our day at the Harry Potter studios which is a must if you are a fan of the films and books.....very entertaining

this started life as a drawer handle, which I painted black and then added treasure gold to it before attaching the chain with the charms on.

the key has had green treasure gold added to it.

So loving the little spider charm.

The left hand page lifts up to reveal, the wings are glittery but doesn't really show that well.

sorry about the background but I wanted to show the pages open fully revealing the flaps, when all folded back the pages stay together with a hidden magnet, the pics above show more details of the individual pages.

the photo matts I stamped and embossed in black, then coloured the background of the images in with in an orange Sakura gel  pen, so you get a lovely shimmery background, which doesn't show up in the photos, click on images to see more details.

Ooh La La Creations.....

Bonjour peeps, hope you haven't all blown away with this storm we are having, don't know about you but I'm pooped, had both Grandsons round on Saturday for a sleepover and I had very little sleep when one dropped off the other woke, we have got them for 12 nights starting next weekend whilst Mum and Dad are on their honeymoon, think me and hubby will be due a holiday when they get back to recuperate.
Today sees the start of a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations, the theme is.....Food/Drink. The image and papers that I have used are from the new Shawn Jenkins CD.....lots of fabbie images including Christmas as well as general occassions to choose from.

I used gimp to change the size of the image and printed it out twice

cutting out the cupcakes and layering them up.

Sketch n Stash......

Morning all hope you had a fun filled weekend, mind you if you live in England it was probabaly a wet one. On Saturday I went to Moxley to do a class with the girls taught by Clare Charvil,we were making a mini album using the delish Graphic 45 papers so after getting back home fom a busy day, filled with crafting and a yummy buffet for lunch I put my feet up to watch Strictly, then on Sunday I spent the morning working on my Halloween abum......pics to follow sometime this week as I've neary finished it.

Tewoday sees the start of a n challenge at Sketch n Stash and this week we are being sponsored by

We all got to play with a digi and I picked this delightful one called Amelia

I coloured the image in with Prismas but instead of blending them with Sansador, I just used the pencils as the images look like pencil drawings. Papers are Maya....I think.I pleated ribbon down the centre of a piece of lace and topped it off with a string of pearls.

Sugar Creek Hollow....

Afternoon peeps, hope you are all having a fabbie weekend, I'm at Moxley today doing a class making a mini album with Clare Charvill using Graphic 45 papers, guaranteed to be a fun filled day with the lovely ladies there. Photos to follow soon if I managed to get it finished, I must admit I'm being a lazy crafter these past few days, still can't get to grips with dark mornings and I did most of my crafting first thing in the morning over a cup of tea before going to work....
On to this forthnights challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, the theme is birds of a feather, we would love to see your vintage/shabby chic creations featuring birds and nests. I have used Pion papers or they could be Maya.....I cut them up and forgot to mark the back with the manufacturer. This card is for my daughetrs 30th Birthday next week, hopefully she won't see it prior to the big day.

Candy Time

Ooh La La....

Bonjour peeps......wow what a day of rain we had yesterday, at least I didn't feel guily having a crafty morning, although I did have to have a nap in the afternoon......tiring all this crafting. Today sees the start of a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations, the theme this fortnight is......Things with wings, I have used the fabbie new Cd, called The Shawn Jenkins collection., this Cd is jam packed with lots of gorgeous images and papers.

I have done two cards using the same topper and papers because you can get two cards from two of the papers, you can mix them up to create two cards with a slightly different twist, I did cut out more butterflies and layered a couple up on the background paper and the main image.

Crafty Individuals.....

Evening peeps, brrrrr.... its definitley feeling cooler today, and rain on the way, at least I have managed to get the majority of my garden cut back, just waiting for the last flush of roses to finish. What is about when you get given a start and end time waiting for someone to call its always the end time that they turn up, on the plus side I did manage to get my windows cleaned ......it was just wasn't what I had planned to do today.

This month the challenge at Crafty Individuals is.......October, think Halloween, autumn colours or even Christmas preperations, lots of scope with this. I have used an acetate tree image which I framed, both items are from Crafty Individuals. the background was inked used Spiced marigold, stormy Sky, peeled paint and frayed burlap, then I over stamped with a crackle stamp. I used a stencil with sparkle paste from Imagination Crafts to create a frosty look. The leaves hanging from the frame are plastic which I painted and added treasure gold for a smidge of shine.

Saturday night viewing now that Strictly is back on, followed by Atlantis, you know Winter is coming cos the TV improves ready for Christmas. Spent yesterday visiting my Neice in hospital after she had  major heart surgery last week, she looks alot better now thank goodness.

Morning all, another busy week that has flown by again, my neice had a major heart operation on the same day as Ethans birthday, hopefully we will get to visit her tomorrow now that she is out of intensive care. My son got promoted at work after just 4 months....so proud of him, although he's full of cold and not feeling very well.

This is the first of two posts today, I'm slowly getting into the swing of things again, although my mojo has taken a leave of absence. At Kraftyhands the theme this month is Halloween colours, your project doesn't have to be Halloween just use the colours, this image was pefect, I used the Floral Fantasia CD, the main image is layered up for dimension.

Morning peeps, today sees the launch of a new Cd from the boys at Kraftyhands, this one is called Craft Nouveau and is jam packed with gorgeous designs, this card is one from the decoupage pyramid set. All of the elements are on the two sheets so you can make the tag (have use a tag blank not included) with the added flower on the card.
