Christmas stocking......

Afternoon peeps wow this is the third posting in as many days, I'm definitely on a roll, and I still haven't had chance to play with my my Christmas pressie though.
I thought I would finish some of my cards that I started to colour before Christmas, think I had better start making a few more cards for next Christmas now.
This image if from Cuddly Buddly coloured in with Prismas, and the papers are some very old First Edition ones. I have cut around the stocking and then mounted on the die cut for added  dimension.

Top 5 for 2014

Well that's Christmas done for another year, I always feel that the build up last weeks and such hard work and then it's all over in a flash, I work in retail I just wish the bosses of the shops would close for 2 days instead of opening on Boxing day for sales, we have to take down all the Christmas bits in the shop and prep for the sale, so I always feel like its finished before it's begun.

Thought I would share with you my favourite cards of 2014

Merry Christmas.......

Wishing all my friends and fellow bloggers a very Happy Christmas, time to put your feet up and spend some precious time with your families. Hope Santa brought you lots of crafting goodies I have had a full set of Polychromos crayons.......120 delicious colours to play with........all laid out in three trays to stroke.
Todays card I made when I went to the NEC in November using the Tim Holtz dies and embossing folders. Love the idea of brayering gesso over the embossed parts to highlight the flakes and then adding glitter for a smidge of bling, really simple but effective.

Have a wonderful holiday

Sketch n Stash.....

Morning to you all, don't know about you but I still have far too much to do before the big day, mind you I'm coming down with a cold now which I could do without, think we need to change Christmas to the summer as everyone is always ill at this time of the year and most of my staff have had this cold and been quite ill with it which isn't a good sign with only three days to go.
Today sees the start of the new challenge at Sketch n Stash
and we have two great sponsors for this one
and
For my card I have used an image from Delicious Doodles who are unfortunately having a closing down sale so you still have time to get some of their lovely images.

I have kept my card simple and only coloured in the post box, then just added glitter to parts of the snow.

Have a great week

Another mini album......

Afternoon fellow crafty bloggers, I'm just playing catch up with the Strictly final as I missed it last night, at least I can fast forward bits of it, afterwards I had better go and get some pressies wrapped or I will be wrapping them on Christmas Eve.
I have had a play with some of the new stamps that have just been released from Crafty Individuals, just had to make another mini album for the photos of our girlie pamper Christmas party that we had a couple of weeks ago.

I have used a pearlescent card for the background which shows through the distress inks for  that extra bling. For the spine I have used various powders and bits for the frantage embossing.

the stamps I have used from the new collection are
CI 426......Lace Doilies
CI 425.....Winter Garden
CI 424.....Jolly Holly Robins
I have used other stamps from older collections as well.
Hope you are well and ready for the big day

Christmas mini album....

Evening to all my crafty bloggers, phew what a day, I took my Grandson to an adventure play place today, no sooner had I brought the coffees to the table when he comes running over, starts to climb on the chair to get his juice, slips and catches his head on the corner of the table, when I picked him up he has an inch and a half gash on his eyebrow.......off to A&E for steri strips and glue. Felt awful having to phone my daughter to meet me at A&E.
Thought I would share with you a mini flip album that I have made using stamps and papers from Crafty Individuals, I also nearly finished another mini album which I will post later this week as it features the new stamps from CI.

Kraftyhands challenge....

Ooops sorry I'm a smidge late with my post for this months challenge at Kraftyhands, the theme is Christmas but no squares allowed. I have used the Vintage Christmas Cd for my card, there are 150 printable elements a well as 10 original decoupage projects and all of the images are from the late 1800s to early 1900s I sprayed the decoupage layers with Crafters Companion Spray Shine so that it gave a more focal point for the characters, it really makes them pop from the background.

Sketch n Stash.....

Morning to you all, I've finally managed to get the Christmas tree up yesterday after spending Saturday ill in bed, although it took me all day. I was hoping to be feeling a lot better after my op but things still haven't settled down, I'm hoping that next year is a better improvement on my health......fingers crossed.
Today sees the start of the new challenge at Sketch n Stash and this fortnight we have two sponsors, Rick St Dennis and Live and Love Crafts. I have used this sweetie from Rick St Dennis called the North Pole sign so darn cute, the image is coloured in with Prismas and the papers are really old.....Forever Friends paper pad.

Tonight it's our works Christmas Party so we are having a meal and a pamper treatment,
so in need of a bit of pampering

Sugar Creek Hollow.....

Afternoon to you all, it's getting busy at work now and today we are all wearing our Christmas jumpers, then on Monday we are having our Christmas party which is a lovely pamper party, a meal with a beauty treatment, mine's a back massage being as I'm at work that day.
Today sees the start of a new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, the theme this fortnight is.......anything but a card. I have been working on this album for the last two weeks, I followed the instructions from a workshop by Clare Charvill, however instead of using the the Graphic 45 papers that she has used I used papers from Prima called  Stationers Desk along with tags and flowers from the same collection.
Caution this is a photo heavy post showing al the pages.
