Soulmate

Morning to you all, phew another week of illness, I've gone for a record breaking how many things can you have wrong with you in a fortnight, found out there are couple of things wrong with the old ticker so I've been referred to Cardiology, I have a hiatus hernia, problem with my liver/gall bladder (need further tests to confirm which), then this week I had a really bad water infection and now I have a cold......oh well there's always next week.
Today's card is another using the fabbie Chocolate Baroque rose stamp set, again coloured in with Pan Pastels. I used a gold Brilliance ink pad for the background text, the leaf is embossed in gold, I used a mixture of powders, chips and shavings for the Frantage heart.

Ooh La La Creations.....

Evening peeps, forgot to post this card this morning, still feeling ill, another appointment at the doctors this afternoon this time for extra strong antibiotics for a water infection, back to the docs on Wednesday for more test results, think we should be like cars and have a 10,000 mile service, I think I'm in need of an oil change.

The new challenge this fortnight at Ooh La La Creations is to make a male card, mine is using the fabbie Shawn Jenkins Cd

Sketch n Stash.....

Morning peeps hope you all had a great weekend, I spent the weekend at a crafty retreat run by Ali Crafts,  lots of paint and ink on my fingers, they are just about an acceptable colour ready for work today.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Sketch n Stash, this fortnight we are being sponsored by
Stitchy Bears and one lucky winner gets to spend $10 on images of their choice.

I have had a little play with one of their images, the papers are Maya Autumn Designs, I added frantage  to the image which is coloured in with Prismas.

Sugar Creek Hollow.......

Afternoon to you all, well that's another week that has flown by, this weekend I'm having I'm having a bit of me time. I'm at a crafting weekend with Ali Craft at Daventry, yesterday we did a mixed media master board with Hels, lots of spraying and spritzing, don't know about you but I'm not very confident with spraying inks, never know when to stop......several layers later I'm thinking I should have stopped a few layers back, but at least a spritz of water and some dabbing the colour can be knocked back, however my hands are very stained.. Today we are having a class with Rob the MDF man and tomorrow its a class with Lin Brown, a weekend of indulgent crafting, do I  feel guilty........hmmmm...... no!!

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow and the theme this fortnight is......Fibres and Texture. I have had a play with some stamps from Chocolate Baroque, I have used Pan Pastels to colour the images, now that makes a change from Prismas. I layered up the images over some cheese cloth, added a Frantage heart

Thought  I would share with you a card I made for my neice when she went into hospital for a new heart valve, she's only in her 20's but she is now fully recovered and in a lot better heath than she was. The image is from Besties and is coloured in with Prismas, papers are First Edition.Just had to add glitter to those wings for a smidge of bling.

Back again with another card, and its another easel card but this time its for the new challenge starting at Ooh La La Creations, and the theme is.......an easel card. I have used the fabbie Shawn Jenkings Cd. There re quite a few male images on this Cd and I love the nautical ones. The ships compass is a Tando chipboard piece which I  have used aged teal Frantage powder with crushed glitter in to add more texture.

Sketch n Stash....

Morning peeps, wow what a week of horrible weather, so many floods, great for spending time crafting though, I have managed to get quite a few DT projects done these past few days, so it makes quite a change for me to be ahead rather than last minute crafting.
Today's card is for the new challenge at Sketch n Stash, I did make a mistake with the dates which is why we have a new challenge starting today......bit of a numpty.

we are being sponsored by Live & Love Crafts
So love the goodies that Sandi sells, if you love vintage this on line shop is well worth a look,
I've got my eyes on some gorgeous lace that she is now stocking

For my card I used an image and papers by Maya design called Vintage Autumn Basics, the embossed frame is  something I purchased ages ago, I cut out the centre and mounted the image behind, I then layered up some more pansies and added the sweet bird which I had dry brushed with Treasure Gold, colour White Fire. I then realised that the main image was probably too big for the 6x6 card so I then thought I'd make an easel card but I wanted the frame to stand more forward, so I put a hinge on the back so that it stands proud of the background.

Christmas tree decs. are all away until later this year,
back to work .......when my next holiday!!!!

Sugar Creek Hollow.....

Phew what dreadful weather we are having, last week we brought a snow shovel thinking that we might get snow sometime in January but I think we should have brought a boat instead, must be awful for the people caught in floods again, on the plus side I have managed to catch up and get ahead with some DT work.

Afternoon and welcome to a new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow......the theme this fortnight is Something New, could be new stash, new techniques. I have made a New Years card with a new image .....well it is to me The tag die by Joy is also new. I used gold embossing powder around the edge of the image, I then used Platinum stickles to highlight  the frame on the image. Paper are from First Edition.

New Challenge.....

Morning to you all, todays post was a New Years Eve request, Heather from My Artistic Adventures is starting a new challenge blog and I popped by to leave a comment congratulating her on her new venture, we got chatting and she asked me to be a guest designer on the very first post, well me being me said yes......when do you want the project finished by.......Tomorrow, so New Years Eve I spent the evening fussy cutting images and the next morning making these 2 projects for her, well I actually made 3 but I'm saving one for later.
Heather creates digital collage sheets and you can find them here at her Etsy store, I love vintage designs and with glitter they make a perfect combination.

I had a play with the following sheets

So this what I came up with, lots of bling and glitter so get your shades out.
The first is a mini easel using the second sheet, I folded a sheet of  card and then used the
patterned paper as a template, then just built up the layers with pearls, lace and flowers.
The glitter doesn't show that well but the cherub is edged with pink glitter, if you click on the images you will get a more detailed look.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid, the lace is so old its as vintage as me, only a few more yards left
will be gutted when its all gone.

such a sweet cherub, just had to add glitter and glossy accents to that hat

Had so much fun creating these as it was raining outside and I was in my craft room having a play, oh and several cups of tea to keep me going, problem is glitter gets everywhere so I now need to have a clean up

Don't forget to pop over to the new challenge blog and join in the fun

Challenges
Really Reasonable Ribbons....Pink and ribbon
Creative Knockout........all that glitters
CRAFT.....anything goes.

Christmas mini album.....

Morning and a Happy New Year to all my crafty friends and followers, firstly an apology for not drawing the Cd Prize winner.....to be honest I had forgotten so without further ado the winner is.........Pat. Can you please email me you address and I'll get that in the post for you.

In November I went to a retreat at Ansty Hall, a weekend of crafting which at times was a bit of a marathon, we made scrapbooking Layouts and mini albums, which this is one of them. The tutor (Jennifer Gallacher) had come all the way from America to teach us and she and her hubby were a delight, we made this Christmas album and not wanting to waste one bit of paper I made the Christmas card as well, this is the first time I have used up a whole paper pad on a project. Just need to start printing off some photos so that I can complete all of the albums that I have made.....That can be my New Years resolution, much easier to stick to than a diet which I really need to go on. The photos are of some of the pages but you get the idea of what its like. The papers are Carta Bella.....so this is Christmas collection, I used a 6x6 paper pad, 12x12 sticker sheet, dimensional embellishments and brads.

card made up using the last scraps of paper, bit of a patchwork effect.
Have a great day
