Love is in the air........

Evening fellow crafty bloggers hope you haven't been buffeted about by the winds too much, we have so far escaped the rain, just very high winds here. Last week my sis and I  spent part of the weekend at Champneys spa for our annual pamper day, massages, sleeping and then more sleeping as well as eating healthy food, not a bar of chocolate insight........soon made up for that though.
With Valentines fast approaching I thought I would make a romantic card, suitable for a wedding/anniversary.

The flowers are white and then I added water and a little paint (Shimmering H2Os)

to them,  then added more water to dilute the colours down again, finished

with a splash of white gesso and then sprinkled them with glitter. Love the subtle effect

so I will definitely be doing this to my flowers again.

The heart stamp is from Chocolate Baroque and is one of my favourite stamps

which comes out at this time of year, I stamped and embossed in gold on watercolour paper, then using lots of water and a small amount of shimmering H2Os in three different colours I painted the

heart in, then I fussy cut around it and cut down the middle of the heart to divide it in two.

The frame die is from Noor Design and is perfect for these vintage images.

Half way reminder.......

Yay we have finally had a dusting of snow, always looks pretty until it turns to slush, at least I  am at home in the warm and I intend to spend the day crafting.
Todays card is from the new release from Crafty Individuals, I have used a backing paper from the Spring paper book for the background and kept the die cuts all off white for a more subtle look. I used a diamond stencil for the tag behind the focal image, whilst the paste was still wet I sprinkled it with clear mini beads and shaved ice frantage, then after it dried I spritzed with a pink glimmer mist.

Busy week......

Well this week has got off to a busy start, yesterday I spent the day tasting all the new chocolates that Thorntons will be bringing out in the next few weeks, bang goes the diet I have put on so much weight after Christmas and now a few more calories have hit the waist line. On Monday I had my grandson Zachary so we spent the day playing trains, which my son used to play with, we brought him a Playmobile train set when he was 5 and it still works now after 20 years.
Todays card is a wedding card using one of my favourite LOTV stamps, coloured in with Prisma pencils.

New look......

A new year and a new look to my blog, thought it was time for a change, I am so fed up with dark mornings at the moment that every time the alarm goes off I turn over and drop back off to sleep again, which isn't good when I should be getting ready for work.

Lace , buttons and bits n bobs..........

Happy New Year to you all, I managed to stay up until past midnight which is a miracle for me these days as I'm usually asleep by 9:00pm, such a light weight. Well it's a new year and a new challenge  and what a great theme  Gio has chosen for this months challenge at Crafty Individuals, skies the limit with this one.........Lace, buttons and bits n bobs. I've been working on a few samples for the next TV show featuring Crafty Individuals stamps and this is one of my samples for the show.

My bits n bobs include a wooden skewer, beads, lace, scrim, ribbon and gems
