Happy Easter......

Well I have finally finished icing Easter eggs for another year, we iced so many in the past two days that it will take a while for my wrists to stop hurting, hope the Easter Bunny dropped lots of yummy chocolate eggs off to you all. My son and daughter brought me some copics for mothers day and I have added a few more to my collection so I have been busy playing with them this is my first effort with a very limited colour palette.

Wedding photo......

Evening to my fellow crafty bloggers, thought I would share with you the canvas that I did with Anna Dabrowska the other week, as soon as I saw the project I knew the photo that I wanted to use, it's a lovely head shot of my daughter at her wedding, and she had a lovely silver metal slide for her hair which is just peeking out from below the crown of flowers, she has hung this canvas on her wall.........so I guess she liked it.
We created an imaginary dress using lace and resist canvas, and then I added lots of metallic embellishments, buttons and flowers and after painting everything with white Gesso I then used three different coloured sprays and some of the new metallic acrylic which I dry brushed onto some of the embellishments. the drips were made with a glue gun and then I used a pencils to outline the edges of the drips to give them more definition

Box of all sorts........

Evening fellow bloggers hope you had a lovely weekend, I was thoroughly spoilt my my son and daughter as they brought me a set of 36 Copics, so now I have a perfect excuse to start collecting those now.
The challenge at Crafty Individuals this month is called a Box of all sorts. I have used a template from The House of Zandra, called alter me display box to make this, I have used quite a few different stamps sets from Crafty Individuals, as well as embossing, frantage, crackle glaze, to complete this, the finished size is 5.25 ins x 9.25 ins. The paper is Victorian roses by Make and Create which I picked up from The works for a snip at just £4 for a 12 x 12 pad.

Stamps used
CI 341, CI 306, CI 426, CI 328, CI 435

Had a fab weekend crafting  at Daisy Jewels & Crafts with the lovely Anna Dabrowska, we got to play with lots of metal trinkets, paint and spray paints as well as the lovely new metallic acrylic paints from Prima.........so blingalicious. On the Saturday we made this lovely album which is one of the new journal albums from Prima, thrilled to bits with it and there are pages, pockets and acrylic sleeves left to decorate, which is the excuse I have been waiting for to start mixed media journalling.

We used resist patterned canvas and lace for the background, and for the final touches I added glitter and micro beads. The image is from Crafty Individuals in the fob watch.

We had enough bits n bobs left so I made another mini album
in lilac and aqua.
