Ooh La La.....

Bonjour peeps hope you all had a great weekend, we went to Barmouth in North Wales and spent a lovey day with My hubbys brother and his wife Mari, the weather was on and off rain for most of the afternoon but we managed to dodge the showers and had a walk around the harbour followed by a lovely meal in a Bistro in the evening and then we watched a movie on there mamouth cinema screen......just like being at the movies.

Back home now ready to celebrate my Hubbys 60th Birthday this evening with the rest of the family, looking forward to having a meal at a local pub where my husband was born in a nearby village.
Todays card is for the challenge at Ooh la la Creations, the theme this fortnight is ......Faithful friends, this card is one  made a while back and fogot to blog so its perfect for this challenge as I have used the Faithful Friends Cd to make it, the image is so like my sisters beagle.

Have a great week

Sugar Creek Hollow.....

Afternoon peeps hope you are all having a great weekend, not particularly good weather though this weekend, I'm in North Wales today as my hubby wants to visit his brother and his wife, so its an early start for us. Just hope the sun shines a smidge so that we get to have a walk on the beach.
Todays card is for the challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow and the theme this fortnight is Tic Tac Toe.

I have used an image and papers from the Femme Fatale Cd from Kraftyhands, I followed the last line, Flowers, Pearls and Die Cuts, although I have probably ticked all the boxes. I added white and gold Frantage to the edges of the image which I printed on a linen textured paper.

Happy Easter....

.Morning to all my fellow bloggers wishing you and you and your families a very Happy Easter, must say I'm glad to have 3 whole days off to recover from our marathon icing of Easter Eggs this week, it has to be said that we were rushed off our feet, we sold out at lunchtime yesterday and my hubby and son had to get me some more stock from another shop. Phew time to put our feet up, shame the weather has turned cold though as I was looking forward to getting into the garden and putting in some plants, oh well I'll head to my craft room and after giving up chocolate for Lent I might just sneak in a chocolate bar with me.....yummy.

Todays card is a reminder that you still have 1 week left to join us at Sketch n Stash, we have a couple of sponsors as well, Inky Impressions who have donated $10 and Buttons for Brains who have donated a £10 spend. So well worth joining us for his sketch challenge.

The papers are by Pion designs and the doiley is using my Stampin' up stamp embossed with a white twinkle Wow powder.

Have a lovely weekend

Crafty Indidvuals....

Afternoon to you all, normally I work an extra day this week at work ready for Easter but having been feeling as rough as I do I have had the day off, mind you I have had to go to the doctors twice and for another flippin' blood test at the hospital, can't see why I keep getting sent there for more tests as they always come back icky, the Doctor said I have 2 gall stones, an icky liver which needs further investigation and I've got to have a CT scan on my kidneys as they think I might have Kidney stones now but they are not sure, every time I go they find something else wrong with me, blood pressure is still high but I'm waiting for the hospital to send me another appointment for that.......time for a holiday me thinks. Thank goodness I'm off for three days at the weekend after I have finished icing all those Easter Eggs for the Easter Bunny.

Anyway on to todays card, I have seen these pop up cards out there in blogland and thought I would have a go at making one, the challenge at Crafty Individuals this month is Natures Beauty and was a perfect excuse to get out all my stamps and have a play, the stamps I have used are..... CI 206, flower heads, CI-407 Sentiments, CI-347 Butterfly panel, The Dragonfly CI-033,  was embossed using Platinum Wow powder onto a coloured background, I then rubbed Stardust stickles over it for the sparkle and the bird is  CI_378. Music stamp CI-309 and the lady is CI-108. The flowers were stamped onto one of the papers from The Sprintime book 3 and then the centres were then sprinkled with beadazzles Tu Tu. onto glossy accents. The sentiment I embossed onto Vellum in white and then I coloured the back to give a soft subtle colour through it.The other images have all been coloured in with Prismas.
Don't forget you still have over a week to join in the challenge and every entry gets a discount code for 25% off any order at Crafty Individuals, and being as the weather forecast is not good for Sunday its a perfect excuse for crafting and eating Easter Eggs.....at the same time, yum yum.

Thanks for taking a peek

Isn't this little girl just precious? Let me introduce you....
Lauryn was diagnosed with Leukemia on March 27, 2014. She is currently hospitalized in the DC area undergoing chemotherapy to fight this terrible disease.  Lauryn is Linda Payne's granddaughter...many of you in the stamping community probably already know sweet Linda!

As news of Lauryn's illness spread via social media, many of you have asked if there is anything you can do to help, so we have come up with a plan. We decided to have a Card Drive and would like to invite YOU to help by sending "happy mail" to Lauryn and her family.

Please create cards to share your love and encouragement for Lauryn and her family. Lauryn's parents are Josh and Elizabeth and she has two older siblings: Lily and Logan. We thank the Lord for this dear family and need to pray for them as they are seeking to glorify the Lord throughout this trial.

Ooh La La creations.....

Bonjour to you all, hope you had a great weekend, what a lovely warm spring day we had yesterday, Spring is my favourite Season, not too hot and all the blossom and daffodils out and the trees are turning green, perfect.
Yesterday we took my son out for a Birthday treat, he didn't know anything about it until we got there. He is a real steam train buff and we went on the Severn Valley Railway, we ave never been before, it was a lovely afternoon, we had a cream tea in the observation saloon on the journey up to Bridgenorth and then we had a look around all the engine sheds, the stations on route were like stepping back in time. After getting back to Kidderminster we stopped off for a meal on the way home.
Today sees the start of a new challenge at Ooh la la creations, the theme this fortnight is Easter/ Spring, for my card I used a decoupgaged image and papers from the everyday Occasions Cd called Springtime. I made the flowers using a new die that I got at the NEC recently by Britannia Dies.

Off to work now as this week is going to be mega busy with icing Easter eggs
at the chocolate shop

Sketch n Stash.....

Morning peeps back again with another card, this is  a midway reminder for the challenge at Sketch n Stash, I actually got round to making a card yesterday even though I had had very little sleep as I had my two Grandsons for a sleepover on Saturday, Zachary is really easy to get to sleep, goes to sleep in a blink of an eye but Ethan wears you out before you can wear him out and for someone who isn't very big he sure does take up a lot of the bed.

We have Live and Love Crafts sponsoring this challenge and one lucky winner will get £10 to spend on line.

For my card I have used an image and papers which you can get from Live and Love Crafts, the papers are by Pion called Violet, the tags are from LOTV which I have embossed with Wow fine gold embossing powder. The flowers are from Wild Orchid.

have a great week

Kraftyhands.....

Morning to you all, seems ages since I have blogged, have to admit I haven't been in the mood for blogging and creating cards, at least I'm feeling marginally better so hopefully my mojo will start to return. Today sees the start of a new challenge at Kraftyhands, this month we have a sketch for you to follow. My card is made using one of the vintage ship toppers available here. and the papers are left overs from various cds, perfect way to use my left overs up......hate to throw anything away.

I dipped the edges of the papers in gold embossing powder and used Platinum stickles for the edge of the image, the gear with the button and twine bow on was embossed with Stampendous frantage teal and gold powder
