Sugar Creek Hollow.....

Afternoon peeps had to write this post on Thursday before we left for Disneyland Paris so when you read it I might be on my favourite ride....thunder mountain, mind you we nearly didn't get there as my daughter phoned me late on Wednesday to say she couldn't find her passport and would't be be able to, so I went round to help with the search and she'd turned her house upside down looking for it and when she said upside down she wasn't joking.....it turned up in the end altough she said she'd looked there already twice. When we picked Ethan up from Nursery the ladies there asked us to plan an Itinary for them when we get back as we do Disney on a budget and they wanted to take their children and couldn't afford booking through the Disney website, so perhaps that will be a new vocation for me......lol.

The theme at Sugar Creek Hollow this week is to create something that inspired you. For my card I was inspired by another card which I recieved from my friend Annette. I love roses as does my Mum whose garden is full of them, she has alot of David Austen roses, so I decided to make a Mothers day card for her. The image is from The Graphics Fairy which I distressed with Tea Dye and added gold peel off borders to it. The doiley I spritzed with Gold and Vintage pink Glimmer mist. The background paper is from First Edition called Isabelle. The fab heart die is by Joy and I've used some more pleated ribbon that I got last week.....I should have brought more as I love it and don't fancy pleating my own, might have a go myself when I have a bored moment.

a beautiful card for your Mum, Daniele, she will love it I'm sure. sadly I had to leave my David Austin roses at the old house, and although Mum does have some roses here they are nothing special .. .. except they are the survivors of the wind! I will have to see if there are any DA ones suitable for windy sites near the sea.
enjoy your weekend and the Disney rides. hugs, annie x

I hope you have a fabulous trip and will look forward to hearing all about it. The roses in your card remind me of some at my Grandmother's. Just a gorgeous card, love the added touches of gold and the layering of your die cuts on the image. So pretty. Thanks for your sweet words of condolence.

This is so pretty, Daniele! I'm such a huge vintage fan so it really appeals to me. What a super way to use that vintage image with the sentiment over the top of it. Lovely doily and pretty punched hearts too! Great work on the "over the edge" challenge. So glad you joined in the fun with us this week at Our Creative Corner.
