Morning peeps hope you are all well and had a lovely relaxin' weekend, I'm having a few days off before the big Mothers Day/ Easter rush, then things quiet down during the summer, so I'm having a couple of play days to get ahead with my DT cards instead of doing them at the last minute......and catch up on the housework, we'll see which gets done any guesses!!!

This is this challenges sketch, a little more tricky because you

need to add two images.

The optional theme is Girly and blingy

I actually printed out the main image twice so that I could layer up

the hat, watering can and the rim of the plant pot. Then I enlarged

the watering can and layered that up as well for my second image.

I wanted the letters to look as if they were being poured

out of the can for the sentiment,

lots of glitter on this card, the papers are First Edition,

( I'm trying to use some of my older papers up)

and I've added glitter.....well just about everywhere else.

Sugar Creek Hollow.....

Its Saturday and that means we have a new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, don't forget that we want to see your Vintage/Shabby Chic cards or projects, the theme this week is Hats or Shoes or both. I have used a stamp from BLine for the main image which I coloured in with Prismas and the backing paper is from a  Crafty Secrets CD. The image had a feather on it so I popped a real one over the top for added dimension,

Studio 12...

Morning peeps, its my turn to post a project over at Studio 12/Polkadoodles blog. I have made a tag with a pocket in it so you can slip another tag inside, all of the elements can be found on the Picknix collectio 1 Cd, on offer at £9.99 at the moment. The background panel I printed out twice and used the lace panel to make a pocket by layering over and just gluing down the sides and bottom. The roses were fussy cut out and stuck down, I added stickles to the centres of the flowers, faux stitching and buttons to complete.

NEC Trade show.....

I had a lovely time meeting up with Jean and Malcolm and I bumped into a few other people I knew including Brenda Brown....such a lovely lady, I took a few pics of some of the wonderful paper creations that were there on display, the dresses and peacock were on the DCWV stand, I don't think you can make any of the projects using just a 6x6 paper pad, incase you are thinking of having a go.

Zig Zag album

Afternoon fellow bloggers, an early start for me today as Jean from Crafty Individuals had a very early workshop at the Hobby Craft show at the NEC, so I needed to be there for 8:30am. I thought I would share with you a zig zag album that I made for her. Ever since I did the a Graphic 45 retreat with Clare ( My Creative Spirit) and Ali (Ali Crafts) I have been totally hooked, I'm on my fourth album, which is a baby one now, hence the lack of cards. Pop over to Clares for the measurements for this album.
I used the papers from the Shades of Summer paper pad , all of the stamps and tages are from CI, the list is below of the stamps I have used. I used Victorian Velevet, Broken China and Shabby Shutters distress inks  in different combinations to colour and stamp the panels for the tags.

Vintage Treasures.....

Morning peeps, todays the day that Kraftyhands launch their latest Cd on Create and Craft, the Cd is called VINTAGE TREASURES and has card making sets as well as papers, toppers, embellishments and greeting sentiments, so there are lots of wonderful vintage images to choose from, todays card is one I made using a card set, so you get all the elements to make up this card. The times of the shows are 1:00pm and 6:00pm, so set your tv's to record if you want to see lots of scrummy samples by the rest of the team.

the pin is layered up for more depth and I used tickles on the heart.

Ooh La La.....

Bonjour peeps, had a fabbie day yesterday at the Hobby Craft trade show, Jean from Crafty Individuals had asked me to help out on their stand, had a great time catching up with them. There looks like there are quite a few yummy goodies to arrive in the shops soon.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Ooh La la Creations and the theme this week is .....Sparkle and Shine, I do love a bit of sparkle. Wendy (the boss lady) is looking for some guest designers to join us for two months at a time, so if you are interested in joining us put GDT after your name.

For my card I used this sweet Humming bird decoupaged image from the Everyday Occassion Cd, I sprayed the image with Crafters Companion sparkle and shine, then added gold stickles to all the edges, as well as the centres of the flowes

I'm helping out again on Tuesday at the show,there were some fabulous paper creations so I will take my camera and take some photos next time so you can see them.

Sugar Creek Hollow.....

Afternoon peeps, its the start of another challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, the theme this week is .....metal mania, we would like to see your vintage/shabby chic creations. For my project it is part three of my tag album, this is the centre panel using the lush papers from Graphic 45 A ladies diary. I have added a metal embellishment to the top of the panel and a metal braid tied in a bow.

Graduation.....

Evening peeps hope you have all had a lovely Valentines Day spent with your loved ones. We were busy yesterday as well as today at work, no plaques iced with 'will you marry me'? though.
Thought I would share some photos of my son's graduation that we went to on Tuesday, my daughter,Ethan and Zachary also came with us which was lovely having our family altogether to celebrate.
Ethan had such a great time, we sat having a coffee prior to registration and some of the graduates were dressed in their robes, all of a sudden Ethan shouts out....."there's a witch and there's another one, I think he thought he was at Hogwarts. When Richard came back in his robes he said "I love your witches outfit Uncle Richard"......he had us all in stitches and wanted to try on his motar board.

Sketch n Stash......

Morning peeps hope you all had a lovely weekend, we went Go Karting last night, it was a Christmas present for my son and nephew, so there was definitely some driving rivalary going on, but they both enjoyed themselves doing bends at 40mph. I also had my two Grandsons over for a mini sleepover on Friday, Mum and Dad picked them up at midnight, I had to go to bed with Ethan dressed as a pirate, quite difficult trying to go to sleep with a patch over my eye.....lol.

Today sees the start of a new challleneg at Sugar Creek Hollow and the theme this week is.....Feathers and Fur. It seemed a good excuse to make a vintage style Valentines card, all of the stamps and the backing paper are from Crafty Individuals, I have used Belini Peach and Victorian Velvet for the stamping and colouring of the background of the diecut heart and postard.
