Sketch n Stash.....

Morning fellow bloggers, hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend, went on abit of a spending spree this weekend and brought a new settee, well two actually and my son brought one for his room....now he's a wage earner.....lol. Looks like rain today which will mean a crafting session as I'm off today. I have been aked to make a graduation card, but there aren't many images out there to buy .....well I couldn't find many, ended up with a Saturated canary one hope the lady likes it, I must say I'm not smitten on making commisssion cards in case its not what they wanted, but she was so insistent I could't say no.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Sketch n Stash, we are  back to fortnightly now and for this challenge we are being sponsered by Fred She Said. I have used this sweet pansy image from them as well as the lovely coloured background paper from the Purple Pansy set
The image has been coloured with Prisma pencils and one flower has been layered up.I'm starting to get the hang of the liquid pearls abit more as it hard getting uniform sizes so I went mad and put them around the image.

Have a great week

Sugar Creek Hollow....

Afternoon to you all, hope you are having a chilled out weekend, we're expecting rain here so it could be abit of a washout. Today sees the start of a new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, and the theme this week is........ Water Water everywhere. Which is a great theme for summer as it conjures up the images of the seaside, boats and lighthouses......lots to choose from for this challenge. I have used an image from OOh La La Creations on the Passion for Fashion CD, Titled Fun In The Sun. The image was perfect to add some frantage embossing to,I'm getting addicted to this stuff, I've started mixing up little pots with different colours and elements in them so I'm ready to go. The background papers are also from the same cd and the postcard image is rom Crafty Individuals. The shells I brushed with treasure gold for a lovely sheen.

Tea for two.......

Morning peeps at last some rain to make the grass green again, just as long as it knows when to stop and that the sun does shine again, I managed to get some time in the garden yesterday to cut back, dead head and weed. I only have a small garden but it still took me all afternoon, and I still have another side to do, which hopefully if it doesn't rain any more I will get out today and do. This year we have a lot of frogs as the ducks have left the tadpoles alone, we ussually get three ducks from the park come and visit us each year but this year they didn't hence lots of frogs which jump out when you start digging and weeding.....great fun when I was cutting back a plant and nearly died of fright....lol.

Todays project is a dresser cupboard with lots of bits n bobs using some of the new stamps from Crafty Individuals. When I saw the new set entitled ......Tea for Two I knew that I wanted to use one of the many templates that I have from House of Zandra, the only problem is getting a strong enough card to use as they are quite big templates and I hate using the original, the card I used wasn't quite thick enough for the paint crackle effect that I did on the outside of the dresser. All of the images have been coloured with prisma pencils.......actually I coloured them whilst I was on my holls.....chillin' in the sun.

I've embossed crowns on he background paper, added lace and beads the the shelf edge.
The picture with the tulips on I heat embossed in clear and then popped it in the freezer so that the embossing cracked and you get that lovely crackled glaze effect......doesn't show up though on the photo.
The metal pieces have been brushed with Treasure Gold and the uttee button has also with the silver.

List of stamps used
CI391.....Teatime delights.

Ooh La La .......

Bonjour peeps, another two weeks have flown by and we are starting an new challenge at Ooh La la Creations. Firstly though I can't get on my laptop, cos its gone to cyber heaven, well the battery and the charger have, so I have got to get a new one as the two bits combined are as dear as a new laptop......and to be honest I've seen a rather nice purple one so I might just get that. So it means I'm restricted to my sons laptop now which is know as the Beast 3  and can't get around many blogs let alone do any challenges, never thought I'd see the day when I relied on a piece of tech.
The theme this fortnight at Ooh La la is......to someone you love. this card was made as an anniversary card for my assistant manager hubby, she needed wood on it which is why I added the frantaged peg, the image and papers are from The Yesterdays Memories Cd.

I gathered tulle in a circle and then added two frantaged hearts.

Equestrian Events......

Morning peeps looks like we are in for another few days of sun, must admit first thing in the morning is lovely but comes the afternoon......draining especially with the dizziness, which isn't quite as bad, fingers crossed I'll be able to stand up all day as I'm hoping to go back to work tomorrow, at least we have an air conditioned shop with a lovely cooler room set at 16 degrees.....ahhhhhh bliss.

I forgot to post this card from the new Equestrian Events Cd from Kraftyhands before I went on my holls....better late than never I suppose, the Cd is available here and is jam packed with lots of lovey horse designs. Something for everyone. I'll post another card featuring this CD later in the week.Just loving the paper bows that you get on the sheet, as well as the ribbon elements.

Sugar Creek Hollow....

Evening fellow challenge bloggers, hope you are well and basking in the sunshine, a whole week of sun how lucky are we. Its been a week since I got back off my holls and I've spent it still ill, I've got a really bad head cold and then yesterday I developed Labrinthitus.....which bascially means you're as giddy as anything and can't lift your head up without falling over, didn't quite fall over but spent a miserable day trying to stop the room spinning, had to come home in the end, luckily managed to get some pills off the doctor but I've spent today lying down with the room spinning. Who says going on holiday is good for.
Oh well on to the new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, the theme this week is ......Wheels, don't forget though that we are a vintage challenge site so we would love to see you Vintage or Shabby Chic designs, not cutie though....sorry.
This week we have a sponser ...... Doodle Pantry.

For my card I have used backing paper from Crafty secrets, and the stamped image is from B Line Stamps, the tag behind has a script stamp on from Crafty Individuals. I also managed to pick up an old French dictionary for 2 euros whilst I was on my holls.....a real bargain, the books were outside a locked up shop with a note to say pop your money in the container when the shop was shut......as if we could do that in England. So the torn text is from the dictionay.

Challenges
Crafty Ribbons....anything goes with ribbon
Little Red Wagon.....monochrome.
Craft Room Challenge.....vintage (no cuties).

Ooh La La............

Bonjour to you all, I'm back off my holls nursing a stinking cold and facing a ton of washing, oh well that can wait abit, back to work today and given the lovely weather we are having that means alot of ice creams.I did manage to find some scrapbooking stash whilst I was on my holls, well it would be rude not to buy some souvenirs, problem is not much room in the luggage, we had to do abit of a shufty round with the cases at the airport which I think is sooooo funny cos all the cases were going on the plane together one had more in than the others so we had to redistribute the load between the cases, couldn't quite work it out that the case still weighed the same in total, oh well at east we didn't have any excessive payments.
Its  the start of a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations, the theme is .......Ebony and Ivory. I have used an image and papers from the Yesterdays Memories CD for my card.

Challenges
Hobby House...vintage (use pearls)
Its all about the vintage....black and white
Our Creative Cnr....captured memories
have a great week

Kraftyhands challenge.......

Morning peeps I'm back off my holls today, so I can catch up with all your lovely creations. Trouble with coming back off holiday is all the washing, do you really wear that many clothes in two weeks, it'll take me another two weeks to do all the ironing. Today sees the start of a new challenge at Kraftyhands, this month the theme is .......Pretty in Pink......I so love abit of pink. I have used the Edwardian Rose Garden CD for this card. The centre rose and border have been layered up and I have used perfect pearls on the border.

I added glossy accents for the rain drops on the petals

Ready Teddy Go......

Morning peeps I can't believe that we are now in July, we'll be seeing Christmas cards in the shops real soon....lol.
We have a lovely ispirational photo to inspire you for this months challenge at Ready Teddy Go.

I have used a sweet teddy stamp from Lily of the Valley, this is the first time I've inked this one up......tut tut. I think I brought a few at the last show and haven't got round to using them yet. The image was coloured with Prismas and the papers are from Papermania.

thanks for your comments, I will catch up with everyone
when I get back off my holls
