OOh La La .......

Bonjour, sincere appologies for neglecting my blog and not getting round to anyone, what a week is all I can say, hopefully back on an even keel this week. I did spend the whole day yesterday in my garden cutting back ready for Spring and I have the scratches from my roses to prove it......don't know why I fill my garden with them as the thorns are vicious. I just have to tell you that when it was my birthday on Friday my daugher, son-in-law and Grandchildren came round. Ethan organised my cards and pressies by helping me open them, I had a cake this year and  he sat next to me singing happy birthday, not once or twice but three times, when asked why he was singing it so much he said ....."he needed the practise ready for his Birthday next week......made my day, bless him.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Ooh La La creations, the theme this fortnight is F is for... I am showing you a card I did make a while back when we had the launch of the Fairy CD. Fairies and blooms.

hope you all have a great week
and hopefully I shall be able to catch up with everyone
providing no more disasters hppen

Ooh La La Creations.....

Bonjour to you all, brrrrr what a cold yukky weekend, you know its getting cold at work when the air conditioning automatically changes to heating rather than cooling, and you have to think about putting the heating on at home.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations and this fortnight the theme is .....Magnificent Men, so we would love the see your male creations, I know we all struggle with these as you can't add loads of flowers and embellishmnets, I've gone with a monochromatic scheme, the image and papers are from the Yesterdays Memories CD, are you like me and wonder who the people are in the vintage images, I always do. I love the sepia images of an age gone by, today I found out that the man in the image is Wendi's husbands Grandad, (Wendi is the owner of Ooh La La creations and produces the wondeful Cds).

I die cut a corner using a Marianne die and then frantaged it
adding bronze flakes. I also added a little clock charm as you ussually
get a clock when you retire......so I thought it fitted in with the sentiment.

the second card uses a sepia image and I swopped over the papers
and layout. I've started making my cards in twos, esspecially when I print off
papers that are A4 in size as you get two from one sheet.....mini
production line.

Challenges
Polka Doodles.....one for the boys.
Crafty Catz....men/boys.
Frilly and Funky.....anything goes.
Creative Inspiration....anything goes (opt sketch).
Crafting by Design....anything goes.

Sketch n Stash

Morning peeps, guess that was the end of summer, brrrrrrr chilly evenings as well getting dark earlier, Autumn well and truly here. My Grandson starts school today, they grow so quick, I can clearly remember my daughters  first day at school the teachers had to prize her hands off me, I was heart broken as was my daughter......had a sob in the car outside the school.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Sketch n Stash, we have Live and Love Crafts sponsoring us and the papers and image I have used are Pion designs available from there......lots of delish vintage goodies to choose from.

The stamp in the background is from Crafty Individuals,
I stamped it straight onto the background paper then stamped
the hands of the clock and layered them onto it.

I use grease proof paper to cut my dies now and they pop out so
much easier, but rather than throw them away I used this one to mount
the picture on which gives it a more softer look.
The flowers are white and I have dipped them in Wild Currant glimmer mist,
afterwards I then dipped them in Aurora embossing powder for added shimmer.

Challenges
Pan Pastels.......glitz and glam.
Addicted to stamps....anything goes.
Shabby Tearoom.....time flies
Live and Love Crafts.....inspiration photo

Kraftyhands.......

Morning peeps, well the weather man got it right yesterday, such a shame as my son was at his works barbecue at Ragley Hall, complete with fairground rides .....but all outside, just hope the rain held off  for them. So I got to spend Friday night on my own, feet up cuppa and choccy....hmmmm bliss.
This is the first of two posts, the new monthly challenge starts over at Kraftyhands and we have a fabbie sketch for you to follow. I have used the Vintage Christmas Cd, for the image and papers adding frantage to the corners.

Butterflies.....

Hello peeps another warm sunny day here, although the weather man said rain tomorrow, trouble is I'm too tired to get up and go in the garden.....so lazy. I need a Nana nap, had the little ones again today but they went home at lunchtime so I just need to start operation clean up, well I'm thinking about tidying up....yawn yawn.
Todays card features another of the new stamps from Crafty Individuals C1393 Oriental Fans, again I've used glue n' seal to create the inky background. The background papers are from the new First Edition Christmas pad but quite a few of the papers could be used for anything . The fan I restamped and embossed using Platinum Wow powders, and the restamped the little butterfly that sits ontop of the fan. Image colourd in with distress inks.

Vintage Santa

Morning peeps, a busy day ahead for me I think as I am awaiting the arrival of my two Grandsons, the noisiest one being Zachary, gosh hes got a big set of lungs.....lol. I also have the roofing builders here and I'm waiting for an argument as they have put the wrong dry ridge tiles on and I've told them that they need to take them down and I've also got to take my Mum to a community social group that she is starting today and not really wanting to go.......on the plus side the sun is shining and the sky is blue.

I recieved my new stamps from Crafty Individulas last week and fell in love with this Traditional Santa one CI396, I like jolly Santas but I love the more traditional ones better. I used Matte Glue n Seal  on the Santa after I had coloured him in with Distress inks, I so lurvvvvve this technique as you can create more interesting backgrounds as well as additional stamping without masking off the image......soooooo easy to do but so effective. Lots of heat embossing with Frantage and embossing powders, tree and snowflake are Marianne designs and the tag and sentiment die are from Sizzix Tim Holtz. I over heated the snowflake but I liked the effect so I decided to keep it on the tag.

Off to play with my Grandsons

Papertake.....anything goes (opt extra Christmas)
LEJ Designs.....something shiny
Ladybug Ink....winter wonderland.
Bearly mine.....anything goes
