Ooh La La Creations......

Bonjour to you all, sadly this is my last post for Ooh La La Creations challenge, although I will still be making samples when the new Cds come out so you will still be seeing some of their creations, but things are piling up at the moment so I need to take a back seat.
The theme this fortnight is to add a bow, I have used the Yesterdays Memories Cd which is full of lovely vintage artwork, this one is called Thoughtful and there are matching papers as well.

Sugar Creek Hollow......

Wow what happened to this week talk about being jam packed, I had a works conference on Wednesday so it was an early start and a late finish, the next day we travelled back, I got home to go to a hospital appointment and my daughters on the phone struggling to get a van as their house move was to be the next day, talk about last minuet. com. So I spent yesterday looking after Zachary whilst helping them with the moving.....an hour before they were supposed to vacate their old house they get the keys for the new one. We are all exhausted this morning and I'm now off to work for a rest.
Todays card which I was really late finishing for the challenge, i.e, this morning, is for the new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, the theme this fortnight is....The hidden word. So please join along with your vintage/shabby chic creations.

Andy Skinner.....

Morning fellow crafty bloggers, hope you all had a lovely weekend. I managed to go a class on Saturday which was taught by Andy Skinner. I have never really done anything totally grungy and without the addition of some sort of bling even if it's only Treasure Gold. It was a leisurely paced class and we put so many layers of paint, paste and glue. We made this small journal book which I made for my son, I did add the spinner and brad on to the top afterwards.......and there is no bling, although I nearly got my Treasure gold out but put it back. All of the paints we used are from Decoart, I've never used these before, but I was impressed with the rust effect, as well as using fluid acrylics we also used modelling paste, texture sand and gesso.

Have a great week

Back of book, which is stencilled with gesso onto a splattered rusty background, then topped off with a
rusty wash and another layer of splatters.

Lace......

Afternoon to you all, I have finally finished another lay out for my daughters wedding album, it's a good job I made her a small album before embarking on a 12x12 one as it will her 2nd Wedding anniversary before she gets it, or even her third. I'm enjoying making scrapping at the moment especially adding lots of embellishments and hand made flowers.

I have used the Heartfelt open vintage floret stamps for the roses and the open leaf stamp for the leaves. Thank god I brought the die for the petals because each rose has 6 layers. I stamped onto pale gold card with Desert Sand memento ink.

The papers are from Papermania, one of their capsule collections as are the doileys which I cut up and the stitched with embroidery thread. The ring and splodge stamp is from Kaisercraft called Stains and the script is a stamp from Crafty Individuals.

The background paper is from the wedding collection DCWV which I painted with picket fence distress stain, I added stickles to some of the dots in the background for a smidge more bling.

My Dad had a bead shop before he passed away 12 years ago, just before my daughter 18th Birthday.
I saved some of the crystal beads from his shop and had some stitched onto her dress. One of the beads is dangling from the bird cage as a reminder of her Grandad.

I followed the sketch from Stuck, who have a couple of inspirational sketches to follow each month

Sketch n Stash.....

Evening to you all, ohhh I'm not liking these dark nights and mornings, they seem to have come all of a sudden, and the clocks don't change until the end of next month.
Todays card is for the new challenge at Sketch n Stash
I have used the new stamp from Crafty Individuals CI 417, Country Days which I have coloured in with Prismas layering up the flowers and the little bird, the flowers at the bottom were stamped and embossed with gold before being coloured in with distress markers.
To create the background I used glue and seal over the top of the image and then used distress inks afterwards I spritzed with a gold glimmer mist. The papers are Pion from Live and Love Crafts.

Sugar Creek Hollow.....

Afternoon and welcome to my post for the challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, to say I am in pain writing this is an understatement, 12 days ago I went down a slide with my grandson Zachary, one of those slides with bumps on, well I went down rather fast, left the last bump and took off then landed with a thud on my bottom, as you can guess I am now nursing a painful bottom and can't still sit down without being in a lot of pain, I think I might have done more damage than I first thought and next week if things haven't improved I shall have to visit the Docs, just don't fancy telling her how I did it......I have now been banned from playing with my Grand children on slides.

Todays card is for the new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow  the theme this fortnight is.......words, we would like to see you add a sentiment that conveys a message. I have used a bookmark from Kraftyhands, I embossed the edges of this with gold and the sentiment is from Inkylicious, which I stamped onto gold card and then distressed the edges for a lovely shimmer.

Hope you have a great weekend

Star book.....

Morning to you all, another fabbie day of sunshine, here was me saying I didn't think we would get any more sun and now it's here again.....yay!!!! Today I'm sharing with you the lovely star book that we made with Lin Brown at the Daventry retreat run by Ali Craft, Lin has to be my favourite teacher of all time, she is so patient with you showing you various techniques that all come together to make a lovely piece of art.
We started off by making three master boards using sprays from Prima, then we added stamping and stencilling before cutting the boards up to create the pages of this book.

Melt Art.....

Morning fellow crafty bloggers, I had a wonderful weekend at Daventry with Ali Crafts, I went on the Saturday and Sunday ........... Lin Brown taught us a wonderful master board using stamping and stencilling which we then used to make a star album on the Saturday, post to follow tomorrow. But today I am sharing with you the melt art class that we did with Jennie Boxall from The Artistic Stamper which made on the Sunday. As you can see we made a printers tray to show case the various techniques of using a melt pot that we did using the scrummy Botanical Tea papers from Graphic 45. I'm getting into stamping onto the  background of papers now so that it alters the final look of them, all of the stamps I have used are available from Ali Craft or Jennie at The Artistic Stamper.

flowers are moulded and the butterfly
is a the transfer technique.

Chip board flowers painted, then triple embossed with
clear utee and then stamped into, I dusted perfect pearls
over the top so that it sat in the script.

moulded flowers and urn and highlighted with
gold

Agate technique using a butterfly cookie cutter

porcelain flower, the base of which has been stamped into
triple embossed utee powder.

finished piece, the frame was painted with dark brown  and over stamped with a script stamp using Antique linen distress paint and then the edges I rubbed with Treasure gold using Florentine gold and rose quatrz.

Kraftyhands.....

Morning to you all and welcome to a new challenge at Kraftyhands, this month the theme is ......Autumn colours, which is well under way now, I was hoping for an Indian Summer but so far it isn't happening, I love the colours of Autumn I'm just not a fan of dark mornings and nights, so for my card I have created a card from the new Cd .....A little bit Naughty. If you like the old saucy seaside post cards then this CD is for you. Its packed with saucy images and lots of lovely papers.

I've distressed all the edges and crumpled the tickets to pop behind
the backing papers, I've added Frantage to the main image and then used Stickels to
highlight the edges for a smidge if bling
Apart from adding ribbon and pearls you will find all the other elements on the CD
