I did manage to get to a workshop at Daisy Jewels with Lindsay Mason the Saturday before last so here are pics of my finished box, which when I saw the sneak peek of the project I thought it was a book. We got to use some of the lush Viva products and the sheen of these metallics paints called Maya Gold are gorgeous. I did use Precious metals by Viva a few years back but these new ones are so much more better.
Lots of lovely layers, including a crumpled paper background, stencils and embossing after we had layered up all the embellishments and die cuts etc. the painting started, first a base layer of black and then we added the metallics which blended lovely. I added a final touch of Viva Inka gold in lilac to lift the the blue and bronze lustre of the Maya gold paint. As these paints are water based they can be easily mixed to create new colours and once they are dry they are permanent........guess that's what I shall be buying next.
