Wedding photo......

Evening to my fellow crafty bloggers, thought I would share with you the canvas that I did with Anna Dabrowska the other week, as soon as I saw the project I knew the photo that I wanted to use, it's a lovely head shot of my daughter at her wedding, and she had a lovely silver metal slide for her hair which is just peeking out from below the crown of flowers, she has hung this canvas on her wall.........so I guess she liked it.
We created an imaginary dress using lace and resist canvas, and then I added lots of metallic embellishments, buttons and flowers and after painting everything with white Gesso I then used three different coloured sprays and some of the new metallic acrylic which I dry brushed onto some of the embellishments. the drips were made with a glue gun and then I used a pencils to outline the edges of the drips to give them more definition

Thanks for taking a peek

Crafty Individuals.....

Morning hope all is well , still no sun again this morning, I've got a busy day today docs first thing followed by the dentist.....broke a tooth. Think I'm slowly falling apart. I have booked a pamper evening next week for my daughters Hen Party, off for a back massage and meal, mind you with how stressed we all are after the massage we'll probabaly all fall asleep in our dinner.

Today sees the start of  this months challenge at Crafty Individuals, the theme for this challenge has been chosen by Sylvie aka Nefertiti 'SEA, SUN AND BEACH'. .....not sure about the sun bit....lol.
For my project I have altered a canvas by using the back rather than the front. I've used stencils with Ferra, lace, doilies and rope to create the texture. The paints I have used are Paper Artsy and I've also spritzed with gold glimmer mist. The shells have been painted and then Treasure gold to highlight the details.

The stamps used are Crafty Individuals......CI384, Grace Darlings Lighthouse, and
CI294 Ship and Navigation elements. the images have been coloured in with Prismas.
The lighthous and sea have been layered up for added depth.

Altered canvas.....

I went to a class with Lin Brown a couple of weeks ago and I'm only just getting round to posting the  piccies, I seem to end up in bed at 9:00pm these last few weeks as I'm pooped hence my lack of blogging, not only that my daughter has informed us that they are getting married, now most of you would get quite awhile to sort things out but noooooo, they are looking to get married mid June or the begining of July, that gives us a couple of months to get things organised. So I guess I'm going to busy in the next few months making invitaions and trying not to get too stressed let alone even more pooped.
.....Anyway here are some photos of the canvas that we made, I thoroughly enjoyed this one and we were spraying lots of paint the thing was everything and everyone was covered by the time we had finished.
Lots of texture, paint and treasure gold on this as well embellishments. The stamped image is a Lynne Perella one coloured in with Prismas. On the framed piece of text tape I have outlined the words.....Classic, aged and endearing, thought that was apt.
