Winter Wonderland.......

Morning peeps the challenge at Crafty Individuals this month is Winter Wonderland and I had a couple of hours yesterday afternoon after Ethan had gone home so I had a play in my craft  room  and then being as the football was on the telly last night I managed to finish this hanging.Instead of making a Christmas card for my sister and brother-in -law I make them an ornament for their tree, so this is for them. I think there is more glitter on this than I have ever used before......lol.
I started off by re-cycling an old Cd using Viva Ferro to get the texture, marking out the mini shadow box before applying the paste. If you heat dry Ferro you get lots of little bubbles which makes a great texture, I then used Viva precious metal paint to highlight. The box was painted using Viva crackle paint and again highlighted with precious metal paint, the images in the box are all from Crafty Individuals Christmas book as is the stamp of Santa on his sleigh. The tree is a Marianne die which I distressed with broken China and then heat embossed with Aurora embossing powder from Cosmic Shimmer the snowflakes were done in the same way and then lashing of stickles added to everything......told you I like glitter.....lol.

Hi Daniele, wow hun I love to see all those techniques and special paints you always use on your projects. Compared to yours mine seem rather dull, sort of more of the same. Never heard of that stuff you used to get that texture though. Hugs, Frea

Definitely a Winter Wonderland!
Beautiful texture achieved to create this wintry land. The box was used to create effect almost like looking through a window watching the children playing on their sledge.
Thank you for joining us at Crafty Individuals Challenge.
