Sugar Creek Hollow......

Afternoon all hope you are all having a great weekend, today sees a new look and owner of Sugar Creek Hollow, Tracy the creator is leaving to concentrate on a new buisness venture and Cec who has been on the design team for over a year has taken over the running of the blog, we also have a new look to the blog and lots of new sponsers for the up and coming challenges......so exciting times ahead.

For todays challenge the theme is ......Trash to Treasure, so we want to see you use something that would have been thrown away. I used some acetate packaging that I had thrown away and then retrieved.......no I didn't go rummaging through the dustbin, luckly it was in the waste paper basket still. I stamped the mother words on it with Stazon and then attached it with eyelets over a panel of lace, the rose is an image from The Graphic Fairy. My daughter sent off for some wedding brochures a while back and one of them had a vellum centre piece which I retrieved and used for the tag. Thank goodness my daughter didn't want to use the hall where the brochure came from as I would have been out of stash money for many years.....they've put the wedding on hold so at least I can still spend my pennies. The image on the tag is from Crafty Individuals and I coloured the face and flower with Promarkers for a soft subtle look. The corrugated card has been distressed and glimmer misted.

What a great idea, Daniele, using the acetate. Very creative! And your creation is beautiful. I also read about you making cards to sell for charity in another post. You are a very giving person to do that.
