Faux Pas

Thought I would share with you the project that I did at the Retreat in Daventry with Ali Crafts earlier this month, the tutor was Hels and we created a background piece which was spritzed with inks. We started off with a piece of card and stuck down strips of cut up die cut borders, and then the fun began with several layers of inks and micas. We used black for the base of the flowers and then spritzed again with another couple of colours, the black really adds a depth to them.
Afterwards we cut up the piece of card to create 9 ATC size pieces......but guess who made a boob when measuring, yep you guessed it......ME. so I had to put my thinking cap on when I got home which is why I have added the dyed braid along the bottom row to make them the same size as the others, I added other bits to some of the other cards just to balance it. Actually I was quite please with my Faux Pas in the end.

Just finished watching the closing ceromeny of the winter olympics, such a lovely spectacle.
I must admit to not being a sports fan but I've really enjoyed these games, think its the snow and the dare devil sports, might take up skiing......as if!!
Awwww that giant teddy shedding a tear was soooooo sweet and sad at the same time
hugs and smiles

You are so clever!
The added trim is really quite pretty. No one would ever know that it wasn't a planned element. Beautiful!

A fabulous project Daniele, live the colours and techniques. I hadn't seen anything wrong with your ATC pieces so your cover up worked well. Have a good week xx
