Seasonal stamps............

Can't believe how I have neglected my blog, thats facebooks fault, well and mine. spend far too much time on and also we have just brought a puppy who is taking up a lot of our time, he's totally adorable but is at that training stage which means in and out up the garden every half an hour (pics to follow)  Just thought I would share with you the four new stamps from Crafty Individuals with a wintery seasonal theme.

For this card I heat embossed the frame and all the snowmen in red and coloured the rest in using a green sakura jelly pen, I also used a blue pen for the background but used a water brush to make the colour more subtle but still as shimmery. The snowflakes are from Sainsburys from their Christmas decorations range and are perfect for cards, in fact I've just stocked up on some reindeer and stars as well.

Love this blossom Robin, also coloured with Sakura jelly pens and then I sprinkled white frantage embossing powder over the image for a sprinkle of snow. The background paper is also from Crafty Individuals, lovely set of subtle colours.

Another fun card by Linda Edwards coloured with Sakura Jelly pens and simply mounted on embossed snowflake background paper.

More new stamps......

Today I am sharing with you another card made with one of the new stamps from Crafty individuals CI 470 Rambling Rose, I've had a play with Infusions for the background, After playing with these I guess less is more so that you don't muddy the various colours. For this card I have used Sunset Beach both for the background and the rose, I added colour to the background of the image and leaves with some infusion but used them to paint areas to add subtle colour by just add some infusions into a puddle of water.

New Stamps.......

Happy bank holiday, the sun is shining and I have a few days off this week looking after a couple of Grandsons who no doubt will wear us out.The garden is looking lovely as everything seems to have grown really well, so providing the weather stays fine a spot of sitting in the garden is a must do.
Last week saw the new release of some stamps from Crafty Individuals, I'm loving them all especially these Pretty Flamingoes CI...473, on offer at £4.95.

Love the fact that the mirror image makes a lovely Love card to someone special or you coould just stamp the one image on its own, The background is a simple distress ink background, I did add glitter for the water effect, the flamingoes themselves were stamped and layered on a distress ink background and rhinestones added for their eyes.

Spring has finally arrived.......

What a glorious couple of days we have had this weekend, I have managed to finish weeding my garden and planted a few more plants ready for the summer, the theory is to just then chill depending obviously on the weather. A few weeks ago I made an album for my sister featuring the lovely stamps from Crafty Individuals, its a memory album of our family home garden, unfortunately we had to sell the house after Mum became ill so my Son took some lovely pictures throughout the year which I used for this album.

I have used the spring time book from CI for the background papers and then put a wash of gesso over the papers to soften the colours then on some of the pages I used stencils to create the raised areas and then spritzed glimmer mists to add colour in parts before adding the stamping.

I embossed the frame sprinkling on glitter and then stamping
the crackle background stamp using versafine black

CI..209 Winter Trees, CI...287 Birds on a wire,CI....405 Listen to the trees
CI......309 Singing Merrily, CI....116 crackle background

New Stamps........

Morning crafty bloggers here are a couple of cards that have been made using the new stamps from Crafty Individuals, I've kept them simple so that you see the full designs.

The main image was embossed in gold using stamp CI...466 (on offer at just £4.15) and then painted with H20s, the frame is frantaged with a pink, gold and white, the background was made by stamping and embossing in white with the music stamp CI...194 Spring time music

This time I have used stamp CI...468 You are a star on offer at £4,95, again really simply made by inking up the stamp in various shades of inks, the star cut out was embossed and mounted on the tag with the sentiment of thank you on a glitter washi tape

Sad farewell.............

Morning fellow bloggers wishing you all a very happy new year, hopefully this one will be a little less sad as we said goodbye to so many people. Unfortunately my Mum was one of those people, she passed away in my arms on Sunday 18th December, she has struggled with dementia for many years but we refused to accept it and carried on with life as near normal as possible with her going to garden centres, cream teas and play areas with Zach, my Tuesdays won't be the same any more especially come September when Zach goes to school full time. I guess I'll just catch up with my crafting that has been put on the back burner these past few months. I did forget to post this last Christmas card that I made with the new stamp CI...462 large Christmas tree.

I just stamped the background with the new snowflake stamps using broken china and chipped sapphire and added splashes of water to soften the colours, The snowflakes are wooden toppers that I brought in Sainsbury's and then used frantage and a gem stone on the top to finish.
This year I hope to get back into doing challenges as I neglected my blog so much as well as catching up with you guys.
