Blue bird......

Evening peeps hope you're well and haven't had too much rain today, its been mild here so we went out on a Garden Centre crawl,.......bit like a pub crawl but with coffee and cakes instead of beer. I couldn't help resisting to buy Ethan a wooden whistle the kind that you pull the end out and it varies the whistle, hes taken to sticking 2 fingers in his mouth and then shrieking as if hes whistling......I've never been able to whistle like that myself, there must be a knack to it but hes obviously seen someone whistle like that and thinks he can do it as well.......now hes got a proper whistle so he can make a lot of noise, I did appologise to my daughter.......tee hee!!! I'm such a naughty Nana. Right I want you all to practice whistling now................
Todays card is from the new release at Cuddly Buddly from Karen Middleton called Star Birdie, the papers are also by Karen Middleton called Enchanted Wishes. When I went to the NEC there was a stand with some fabbie new dies on and this little birdcage was one of them......I'm so in love with it and at just £4 it was a definately must have.

The papers are from Cuddly Buddly also. The images were coloured with Promarkers and Prisma pencils.

couldn't resist adding glitter  to the coloured areas, went for a very simple colour scheme with just a splash of colour and very simple embellishments.

Thought Id share a card with you that has been sitting in my back up folder for a while, this image is called Milly's Bug Lantern and is by the artist Barbara Anne Williams at Cuddly Buddly as is the sentiment which is also from The Garden Vignette range and the papers. I thought this image was appropriate for a baby card, although I got carried away with the pink pencil I still made it for a baby boy, I added a frame of ribbon on top of the square die cut, the backing paper is also a Karen Middleton design called Enchanted Wishes, which she brought out for the whimsey angel images but I loved the check design so I just had to use it again. I've used some of my fave embellies.....button, ribbon and flowers on this but I've still kept the card simple, I really struggle with using lots of embellishments.......lol

Morning peeps yesterday saw the new release of the Enchanted Wishes range by Karen Middleton there are some real delish digi papers and sentiments to go with the range as well. Todays card is called Butterfly wishes and the papers are from First Edtion Summer Breeze, the image has been coloured with Prismas and Start dust stickles added for the bling.|I gathered the paper for the trim  and then added Vintage seam binding for the bow.I should have got round to posting it yesterday but I had my hands full with a certain little Grandson who has soooooo much energy, I had been playing horsey for most of the day and then again in the evening as his Mum and Dad went to the cinema to see the last Harry Potter film, its his favourite game now but I think my poor back will give out giving him a piggy back for most of the day......but it was fun.

Surprise surprise.....

No its not Cilla here just me posting another cutie by Karen Middelton over at Cuddly Buddly, I'm definitely stuck in a groove with cute cards at the moment but they are adorable, I was going to do a flat coloured image for this and then I made a mistake and coloured abit that I shouldn't have....tut tut ......but didn't have the heart to bin it so I cut around the image cutting out the mistake.......so many ribbons, and then mounted the image on an embossed background which was a mini embossing folder from Docrafts.....a freebie in one of there magazines......I love the mini dots more in proportion than my other folder for this sized image, obviously I had to add a ton of glitter......ok I've exaggerated a little but you get my drift. The papers are from Cuddly Buddly and come in lots of different colour palettes, I've kept the card very simple with embellies......well apart from a ribbon and bow and some candy from Craftworks there aren't any......lol. Now the ribbon I've used is recycled from work as we had a lot of childrens chocolate gift boxes that I had to break down to sell the chocolates individually so rather than thrown all the sparkly pink ribbons away I thought I'd use them on my cards.....see I keep nearly everything that can be reused. I used a Marianne die for the Happy Birthday paper panel.

Challenges
Pollycraft.....recycle (ribbon)
Totally Gorjuss.......Sketch.
Cupcakes......sew mad real or faux.
Poodles Parlour.......Round and round the garden (anything found in the garden)

Oh well off to work now

Chritmas in July.......

Morning peeps, I've done the first round of post holiday washing and ironing then spent the afternoon having a nana nap or a siesta yesterday. I'm off to work now, hopefully there aren't any major problems to sort whilst I've been away, counting down to my next week off at the end of August.......how bad is that. Being as there are a couple of challenges for Chrstmas in July it seemed apt to show you this card I made for Cuddly Buddly before going on holiday......a sweetie called "Its Santa", I made it as a swing tag on top of a pressie....well a fake pressie card, coloured with prisma pencils. the paper is from Cuddly Buddly as well and it wouldn't be Christmas without lots of glitter. I used glossy accents to make his boots shiny and dimensional.

New Island Girl........

Afternoon peeps just got back from a train journey with Ethan, hubby and son. It was the first time that Ethan has been on a real train and he was quite nervous to start off with, we stood on the platform watching all the trains go by and even one of the drivers tooted his horn and waved at him, when the ticket inspector came down checking tickets he asked Ethan if he had a ticket but because he didn't as he's free he printed one off for him........he didn't stop chatting the whole of the time and I'm sure most of the people on the carriage were relieved when we got off as I'm sure the rest of their journeys would be alot quieter.
Today see the release of some more new digi designs from Kim at Cuddly Buddly called ......Island Girl, who is a down to earth little lady who wears her specs proudly, Kim has taken her inspiration from life on the Isle of Mull and the fact that shes has to wear glasses herself, and I definately do these days as I can't see a thing infront of my nose but can read a notice in the distance.......lol.
I've coloured the image which is called 'Little Big Tree' in with Prisma pencils, blending with Sansador and I did use Sakura pens on part of the coloured image to add a little extra sparkle. The papers are called Quilted Holly again a nothe digi download and one of my favourite Christmas papers.
Kinda weird doing Christmas cards in June but being as I love sparkle and glitter I couldn't resist this cutie.

Challenges

Oh well lots of catching up with my fave blogs to do now,

At the seaside.......

Evening peeps, gosh its nearly the weekend again, will be busy tomorrow at work ready for Fathers Day. Had a fun day yesterday with Ethan doing cooking......well you know the sort of cooking I mean mixing coco pops into chocolate and then adding sprinkles, trouble is the Ethan wanted to put one spoon of mixture in the cup cases and then one spoon in his mouth, mind you hes good when it came to the sprinkles on the top and we did save some for mummy and daddy.
Todays card is one of the new digis available at Cuddly Buddly called Beside the Sea.......I love bears so I couldn't resist coluring this cutie, and its nearly summer when you get your bikinis out.......lol, I think I'll struggle getting in my one piece let alone a bikini this year. The image was coloured with a combo of Prisma pencils and twinkling H20s, the papers and sentiment are also available from CB. The flourish is a die from Marianne designs, perfect size for cards.

Challenges

A spoon full of sugar....splish splash.

Sketch N Stash........

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, it was too windy to work in he garden yesterday so I used that as an excuse to play in my craft room and made 2 atcs, 1 card and an altered frame which I'll post over the week, I don't think I've ever made so much in one day, mind you my son was there trying to pinch my workspace again. Well my stint as the sketch designer for Sketch N Stash has finished and I've picked my Top 3......there were so many lovely entries to choose from and now its over to the talented Angie, shes ubber talented as she turns our rough  sketches into a work of art, don't forget to tell us which  new stash or old stash you used  or use some of each if you want. We have 2 sponsers ths week Stamp and Create and Kenny K.
For my card I used  a new digi from Cuddly Buddly called My Purrfect friend and for my old stash I used the lace which you can thread a ribbon through but mine was too big so I laid it on the top, the papers are from CB called quilted holly.....yes I know they are from a Christmas collection but they are too sweet to use just for Crimbo.I coloured the little girl with Twinkling H20's and the little kitties with Prismas.I think I'm going through a clean and simple phase as I've not added any extra embellies except some Star Dust Stickles for a smidge of bling

Challenges
Crafty Pad......Lace and bow.
If the Shoe fits.....clean and simple.
Alphabet challenge.....C for clean and simple.

Have a lovely week
catch up with you later as I'd better go and get ready

One that got away......

Morning peeps , another lovely sunny day here, mind you its started sunny most mornings but has clouded over by lunch time, yesterday we had a little drive into the countryside to visit Shackerston Railway, they have old trains there and at some weekends during the year they have Thomas and some of his friends visit, my son is train mad at the moment and wants to have a go at driving a steam engine....great idea for a present me thinks as they do lessons there, anyway when we got there it was closed but we still had a lovely walk by the canal......not too close as Ethan is a little tearaway and I can't run as fast as him......lol,we then had a coffee and cake at the garden centre on the way back and I ended up buying some more roses for the garden ..........which aren't really child friendly it has to be said.
I thought I'd share with you a design that got away, so to speak from Cuddly Buddly, this image was a prototype for a new design range that Kim from Cuddly Buddly brought out, but she didn't bring out the bear instead the range was changed to Eliza and bro' I have to say I was disappointed as I loved the bear....shes so sweet but anyway you can still get your hands on the image as Kim has now put it into her Freebie section click here if you want to download it, Kim is also having a digi design team call so if you love using digi stamps and you want to join Cuddly Buddly using some of there wonderfull downloads click here for more info....

Morning peeps hope you all had a good weekend, been feeling a bit low myself so I spent Sunday playing in my craft room making 3 cards and an ATC which I'll post later this week but todays card is for the new challenge at Sketch N Stash this week, now I made this a few weeks back as it's my turn today to do the sketch for this weeks challenge........ luckily we only have to draw the sketch and the talented Angie makes them look pretty, which is a blessing as I'm hopeless with computer drawings,I also get the task of picking the Top Three winning cards, remember that you can rotate the sketch but it must still be identifiable with the original sketch,we are being sponsered by Simon Sayswho are giving the winner some $ to spend in their store.......The image is called "A little bidie told me so" from Cuddly Buddly as are the papers, I've used distress ink to colour the image with a smidge of sparkle using Stardust stickles.

Sketch N Stash..........

hiya peeps todays Monday.....argggh I hear you shout, its amazing how quick they come round, hope you all had a great weekend the weather was gorgeous, not too hot and I managed to make a start on moving my garden around....mamouth task. This weeks sketch is by fellow teamie Julie......, as well as the following the sketch you need to let us know what was either your old or new stash that you used, I used a new image from Cuddly Buddly and the old stash was the lace which is over 20 years old.....just slightly younger than me....lol.

This weeks sponsers are Simon Says

The image is from the Eliza and Bro range called Its a Spring thing and the papers are also from Cuddly Buddly I used Marianne dies for the corners and added pearls for added detail. The image was coloured in with Distress Inks included Old Paper, Victorian Velvet, Tea Dye, Bundled Sage etc not a twinkling h20 in sight......lol
Hope you all have a lovely Monday, I'm off to work now and its getting busy again with the run up to Easter and all those eggs to ice.....I can write with icing better now than I can write with a pen. At least I get a couple of days off after the Easter Bunny has delivered all those yummy chocolate eggs and I'm hoping to get my melt pot out and have a play without little fingers in the way, by that I mean Ethan ......
