Ooh La La.....

Morning peeps hope you all had a lovely weekend, at least the sun shone for a couple of hours yesterday in fact I managed to sit outside for half an hour before another black cloud came over, so I spent the afternoon finishing off my cutain pelmet which was 10 metres before I ruched it up......that took some machining, but now its up and I can now play with my new toy that hubby brought me for decorating the dining room, I promised myself I'd only play with my new Zutter machine after I'd finished otherwise I'd get distracted....well you couldn't blame me could you?

Today sees the start of another challenge at Ooh La La Creations, the theme is......WHISKERS. For my card I have used the sweet mice weddng image from the new Cd, which has lots of lovely designs on for all occassions.

have a fabbie week

Sugar Creek Hollow....

Afternoon fellow crafty bloggers, firstly thank you for your kind and supportive words, they are of a great comfort, also a big hello and wave to my newest followers, hopefully I'll catch up with everyone on Sunday when I have a whole day to myself.....phew sure do need it.
Todays challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow is.....Summer Days, which can be interpreted how you want, think beach, summer flowers, and rain.....lol. Don't forget that we want to see your vintage or shabby chic style for our challenges.

For my card I have used holiday as my inspiration. I have used the Dark Room Door Venice collection stamps for the main image, the suitcase is a B Line stamp and the the images on the film strip are from Crafty Individuals, talking of which they have some new stamps out including large clock faces, birds and lace stamps, I just need to get time to play with them all.The image I coloured with H20s and stamped images onto the back ground paper.

Hugs n smiles
P.S....at least I can start knitting again now I know I'm having another Grandson, hopefully that will help with the diet....lol

Polka Doodles.........

Morning peeps, apologies again for not getting round to many blogs again this week, things seem to take over any free time that I have and I have had another stressful week with two breavements on our in laws side of the family and taking Mum again for assessment, we are trying to sort out a Power of Attorney and its been so hard having to watch Mum go through them testing her recall memory and watching the frustration on her face when she can't remember certain things, hopefully things will stabalize after her medication kicks in.....just need things to get on an even keel again.
On the good side my daughter is having another boy so Ethan will have a baby brother to play with comes December, well he might have to wait abit longer before he can play with him.

Today sees the start of another challenge at Polka Doodles and the the challenge this week is to make a gift card, I just love the sweet bumble bee image on the Sugarplum Daisy Cd so I've enlarged the image and the layered it up adding glitter to the wings and flower, then I made a tag to pop into the front pocket which you can add a gift card to.

Here comes the rain again just as I'm about to set off to work......yay I love paddling in water....lol

Cup cake.....

Morning peeps I'm showing you another quick and easy card using the delicious cup cake image.....yummy. I used the background paper from the Home Collection on the Picknix Cd, I also layered up the heart, cupcake on top of the background paper and then printed off another two cupcakes so that I could layer these up on top of the original, I added micro beads and star dust stickles for the icing and voila a delicious yummy card, all I had to do then was add a bow, faux stitching and candy.
Hope you enjoy it and its calorie free.....lol.

Studio 12.....

If you haven't heard about the new blog Studio 12 pop over here to take a peek, every day there is something new from the team including altering, scrapbooking and card projects. Nikky from Polkadoodles has designed a new collection called Picknix, now I have to hold my hand up and say I am not really confident with digital Hybrid crafting, in fact I am a beginner but not to be deterred I thought I would give it ago, now the great things with this Cd is that you can layer up and then print or print off different elements and then layer up adding your own embellishments, there are papers, digi images, cutting files, embellishments and sentiments on the CD. I have to say I just lurvvvvve the papers. I distressed the edges of this paper from The Home Collection on the Cd using Tea Dye distress ink and machine doodled stitched the edges, then I just added roses, pearls and a ribbon to finish off.....oh I forgot to tell you there is Candy as well for one lucky person.

Ready Teddy Go.......

Morning peeps....yay we had a day without rain yesterday (well most of it) in fact we were quite busy selling ice creams. I'm at a class today with Lin Brown who is teaching at The Bead Scene in Pottersbury near Towcester. I went there on Wednesday with hubby, Ethan and my Mum, I just wanted to see how far it was before I drove there myself, there is a sweet old fashioned cafe there and we had afternoon tea which consisted of scones, cream and jam served on a cake stand with fresh stawberries, grapes and kiwi fruit, all the bone china teacups, plates and saucers didn't match which added to the charm and the tea pots had hand knitted tea cosies on them......how sweet.

Well its the First of July and the start of a new challenge at Ready Teddy Go, this month the theme is .....UP UP AND AWAY, you can interpret this anyway you want but your project must include a Teddy.

Our sponsers this month is Mei Flower who have donated this fabbie bag of stash.

Sugar Creek Hollow.........

Afternoon peeps hope you are all still afloat after the down pour we had the other day, think this summer will be on record as the wettest, just wish the sun would peek out and brighten up the day. Well I had a few days off and I must say it wasn't the best mini holiday I have had, spent most of it running back and forth from hospital, doctors and dentists. Found out that Mum has the same problem as myself with an under active Thyroid which also explains some of her symptoms for being tired all the time. Then on Thursday I had my PDR which I hate anyway and I was so upset that some one (presumabbly a member of staff) has made a remark about me that has gone on my PDR as part of I could do better section, that had me in tears for the best part of the day, now I've got to go back and put on a happy face......

.....Anyway enough of my ramblings at Sugar Creek Hollow this week we have the theme of .....VINTAGE CHILDREN, being as we are being sponsered by TLC Creations.......they gave us an image to play with which reminds me of the old Janet and John books that I had to learn to read with when I was little.

The winner gets $10 to spend in store

I printed the image on linen textured card and coloured it in using promarkers and prisma pencils, I then sprayed with Crafters Companion shine spray and then wiped Tea Dye distress ink over the top, wiping off the excess. The papers are from Prima and fit the theme perfectly.

Our Creative Corner...........

Two posts in one day, you'll be geting fed up of me but I just had to share this card with you as I was asked a while back to be a guest designer at Our Creative Corner, and the theme that they asked me to join in with is .....DECADE.... as one of the ladies is celebrating her 10th wedding anniversary. So the challenge is to use ten of something or use the number 10, I decided to make a card that could either be for a wedding anniversary or a wedding and I used 10 hearts on this card, some are stamped, others are embellishments or part of the design. The background heart stamp is from Crafty Individuals. This is the first time I've done an 8x8 card and it took some filling up but its a great size for collage cards which I love doing.

Sugar Creek Hollow.....

Afternoon peeps, hopefully you are all having a rain free day, today sees the start of another challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow.....the theme this week is CIRCLES, I thought I'd try stamping on calico with Archival ink and then colouring the image in with Promarkers, if you just dab on the colour rather than brush it on it doesnt run in the threads of the fabric, the image is a B Line stamp, I used Dark Room Door Parisienne stamps for the word Paris and the Eiffel tower. The doiley behind the top circle was spritzed with glimmer mist and then stamped with a text stamp
