Free Time

I haven't had my grandson this week and I've had lots of time to play......I've really missed him but its been like a mini holiday I've gots lots of crafting done ..one of which I'm posting today, I've completed 5 pages on my Venice Album so thats coming along and tomorrow I'm off to LB CRafts for a workshop... we're making a mirror using lots of metal techniques, its an advanced piece and I'm a little nervous incase I can't keep up as I'm quite a slow worker and I always manage to sit next to someone who is related to Speedy Gonzalas....lol.
Todays card started life as a tag(for all of 1 Hour) and was then turned into a card. I quite like doing tags which are like mini collages... I tend to try and incorporate lots of techniques so my desk ends up looking like a bomb site as I have to hunt for my tools.....I distressed the background using Chipped Sapphire, Tea Dye, and Broken China, spritzed it then with Creme de Coco glimmer mist, backround stamped in Brushed Corduroy....two stamps both by Paper Artsy, you can just make out the face of the boy sitting under the plane.....little bit of fun.

Tags are all from Graphic 45, applied a ruffle of ribbon down the side, the plane was stamped onto tissue paper, distressed and then using a glue medium by Claudine Helmuth stuck down and then the medium applied on top of it, the tissue was torn and curled.

I then applied distress crackle paint to parts of the tags to give them an aged look, the clock face is mounted onto a button and then glossy accents applied....quite pleased with the effect of that, T he background of the card was distressed using Tea Dye and then the crackle stamp which is from Crafty Individuals using Brushed Corduroy was applied to cover the background...and voila my vintage male card.

Challenges are
Colour Create.....use burnt orange, black and cream.
Ohh La La.....Vintage male card.
Crazy 4 Challenges....sketch.
Little Red Wagon....Ruffles.
Die cut Dreams.......Tear it up.
Gingersnap Creations....theme of Earth, I gone with the colours of Earth.
Praire Fairy.......Distressing.

Thanks for taking a peek
Have a great weekend
Hugs from Daniele x
