Happy Halloween......

Morning peeps, hope you all had a lie in today being as the clocks went back or did you use the extra hour for more crafting, I got up at my normal time and sat crafting whilst drinking tea.....bliss. I have finally finished my piece for Compendium of Curiosities challenge.....better late than never, I have struggled with this, why?....well the challenge this week is extreme masking, now I don't know about you but I'm not an extreme person unless you count eating lots of chocolate as an extreme thing, well I tried to get the colours dark, I used chipped saphire and then I followed the instructions.....which I'm sworn to secrecy about.....lol and the final result was less extreme more subtle, but I'm sure Linda will let me off as I did try Miss !! The image is from Crafty Individuals...from their new christmas book.

Alphabet challenge......A for angels.

Toby Tumble.......

I spent yesterday having a play day catching up with some colouring and card making, as you can probaly tell I'm totally smitten with Toby Tumble by Czes Pachela, the images are available as a digi download at £1.99 from Cuddly Buddly as well as the papers which are a lovely collection of christmas designs, you will be able to see them at the Nec next week if you are going. I've coloured the image with Twinkling H20's and sakura gel pens.......these are still my favourite for colouring as they are so sparkly. I followed the sketch at just Cute bears and friends, the sketch is by Helen, this week they have changed the challenge site to include friends as well now and being as Toby Tumble is a bunny I can enter this card there now, check out Annies designs as well as she has done some cards  featuring this cute bunny......she is one of the DTs at Just Cute Bears as well as a CBF.

Just Inspirational....

Here is my DT card for this weeks challenge at Just Inspirational, firstly though I'd just like to say wow we had an amazing number of entries for last weeks challenge in fact we had 100.....amazing creations from everyone, well done to the winner, Kate. Well for my card I decided to do decoupage, I have to be honest I've only ever done one of these before as I love colouring in the images but this is one of the new delish designs by Czes Pachela from Cuddly Buddly, there will be stamps later but at the moment there are decoupage pages and digi stamps, so I've got some images to colour as well for another card, I love the detail by this artist and I'm sure that they'll prove very popular....who wouldn't fall in love with Toby Tumble, one cute bunny. The theme for this weeks challenge is Christmas and there is a lovely sketch for you to follow as well.

Crafty Individuals....wall hanging

I'm  a big fan of Crafty Individulal products especially their lovely image books, the project I've posted today is from a workshop that I did at the Artisan show a few weeks back but I have tweeked it from the finished piece that we did in the class. I painted the top embellishment with gold dabber paint from Ranger and added some turquise gilding foil for smidges of bling. The bird was covered with Terra and painted with pink and blue metallic paints from Viva and then I added some foil again.....a gal has got to have her bling. The images are all from the new Christams image book, which are delish.

The arch tag has been distressed with spiced marmalade and dried marigold, then I spritzed the tag in glimmer mist, the stamps are from one of Paper Arsty hot picks stamped in black stazon. the leaves were made with metal and I used the Tim Holtz leaf dies, I then ran the leaves through embossing folders and used inks to take off some of the metal and add colour.

Vintage card....

Aternoon peeps didn't get a chance to post over the weekend but I've managed two postings  in one day......bit like buses....lol. Todays card is a birthday card for a special someone, can't say who, as she might just see it, this card evolved from me playing with my new martha stewart punch, I wanted to see if it worked.....as if it wouldn't but you know what I mean, so the first part was the lattice background in green and then I used gold dabber paint from Ranger over the lace part, which I threaded with ribbon, added an image from Crafty Individuals which I edged in German scarp, I rubbed black acrylic paint on it to give it a more aged look, the acrylic fragment was made with a piece of paper from the Lost and Found paper pad and stamped with a minature music stamp.....so sweet. I added a little metal rose. The background of the tag was distressed with Dusty Concord, bundled sage and Victorian Velvet over a mask and then spritzed with glimmer mist.

Yipes another week and another Wednesday.......so that can only mean another woyww at Julias place, if you want to go on a magical mystery tour of work desks around the world click here.....and you will be transported there in a trice. I have a confession..... I don't have a piccie of my desk because I was so busy looking after Ethan yesterday I didn't get a chance to do any craftying, it was his B'day on Saturday and he spent the day ill and now his mum is ill as well which is why I had him all of the day.......so being as so many of you crafters got to show off your goodies brought at The Ally Pally the previous week and I didn't get to go........ahhh! I thought I'd show you the goodies that I brought from the Artisan show on Friday.......yummy or what, I started off being quite good but as the day wore on my bag got heavier, I did get to do 3 workshops as well which were fun. I've had a play with the new embossing folder from Tim Holtz which are spookylicious.

Have a great woyww and hugs from

Ethan is into Chuggington, I might have mentioned this before ......he's having a Chuggington party and I think most of his pressies will be Chuggington trains etc.God knows where those 2 years have gone, hes grown so fast and is now chattering away and telling us what to do.....bossy boots.
I was going to do a Chugginton card but being as everyone else is sending him one I thought I'd make him something different, the image is from Penny Black and the papers are from Papermania and I've kept the colours shades of brown.....so its quite a grown up card for a 2 year old but I love the image, nostalgic.
