Flutterby......

Morning fellow bloggers, I can't believe it after a half decent week I get a day off to do some fence painting and its grey and raining......I think I'll get this fence up about July at this rate, oh well theres only one thing to do, I'll nip upstairs to my craft room and do some painting of the kind that I love doing......lol. My sister picked up the card that I did for her hubbys birthday yesterday and she was thrilled with it so that made my day.(see previous post). So I'm sure Spring will arrive soon so todays card is one I did do at a class with Linda Elbourne, using B Line stamps and lots of yummy distress ink. I have a real problem getting the depth of colour that I want so mine all tend to turn out subtle, I'll have to start getting some of the colour washes that have just come out as they look alot easier to use for darker colouring. The background image was embossed in white and then distressed over and then using a sheet of paper irioned over to remove the embossed image....cool technique and very effective. the buterflies are images cut out and added afterwards, using stickles to highlight parts of the image.

Challenges
Colour Create.....greens, brown/cream and black.
Creative Inspiration.....white, beige and greens.
Just for fun....try a new technique (embossed background).

Have fun
hugs

What gorgeous colours you have used - all Spring like and sunny. (Sorry it was not like that for the "fence" work).
Love the resist technique you have done, always one of my favourite techniques and the stamp you used is perfect for this.
Thanks for joining us at JFF.
