Sugar Creek Hollow....

Afternoon to my crafty friends, yay last day at work for awhile, it's that time of year for chillin' and relaxing in the sun except we are going to Orlando and my guess is we will not be doing very much relaxing. I'm looking forward to the shopping though, my craft shopping route is already planned, not that I don't have room full of stash anyway, but it would be rude not to go all that way without checking out the local shops.

Todays card is for the new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow and the theme this fortnight is Flowers, please don't forget if you are entering that we want to see Shabby Chic or Vintage projects only as we are a vintage challenge blog. For my card I used an image from Doodle Pantry, I am using an image called English Bluebells, coloured in with Prismas. I have added a string of crystal beads around the edge of the image. The papers and vintage seam binding are from Live and Love Crafts, the perfect place to shop for all things vintage.

Another nice sunny day here so I guess I will be selling lots of ice creams
at work today.......

Crafty Individuals.....

Afternoon crafty friends, phew the weeks just fly by and I'm getting so bad at blogging just lately, I start off with good intentions and what with work, looking after Zachary and my Mum on my days off I'm totally pooped. I'm off on my holls next week and I'm looking forward to having a couple of weeks off, just hope the weather is good, last time we went to Orlando Florida it rained every day, all day. My son was young when we went last time and now he wanted to go back, must say I'm looking forward to the shopping and I have looked out all the paper crafting shops, not only that there is a stamp fest show on at the weekend we are there......guess where I will be going.

There is still time to enter the challenge at Crafty Individuals, the theme is tags, I have used one of the new stamp called CI  412 Fresh fish daily  and I embossed and layered up the fish, the background stamps are CI 397 call of the sea, the little mini shell came from lake Garda in Italy and the piece of cork came from Amsterdam.

Got back from the doctors today to find out that I have a kidney stone now, so my insides must look like a rockery what with gall stones and cysts. So I have now been referred back to the Urology dept to see if it can be broken down, don't want any more surgery.

Sketch n Stash.....

Morning to you all, hope you didn't have too many thunderstorms over the weekend, yesterday we had quite a nice sunny day with just a shower in the evening, we went shopping to Leicester as my son and hubby wanted some new jeans, the last time we went shopping was Christmas....didn't realise it was that long ago. That's the trouble with guys they don't like shopping unless it's for TVs.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Sketch n Stash

We are being sponsored by Inky Impressions
the prize is $10

For my card I have used this sweet mermaid stamp from LOTV, it's one I have had for quite awhile but hadn't got round to using yet, I have coloured in the image with Prismas and the papers are from First Edition, the shells are from a trim that I have had a long time as well and I have used Treasure Gold to add a green tinge.

Off for my hospital appointment now,
feel like I have lived there for these past few months

Tag it......

Evening to you all, phew what a wet week we had last week, just when the children are off school, we took Ethan and Zachary to Twin Lakes last Tuesday and had to dodge the showers, we didn't get to spend much time outside so it's a perfect excuse to go back again and hopefully we'll get better weather next time.
Today sees the start of a new challenge at Crafty Individuals, the theme this month is......Tag it. When I saw the new stamps that have just been released I knew that I wanted to do a scarp book layout, so I have used all new stamps on this layout making lots of tags including a mini tag book. The papers I have used are really old and are Basic Grey ......Two Scoops, not sure if these are still available.

The top tag is one from Crafty Individuals I folded over the bottom to make a pocket and then added the floral spray from CI 410, Butterfly Mornings and Wild flower afternoons, I just embossed this with Platinum Wow powder, inside the pocket I made a mini tag album stamped with the dragonfly from he same stamp set.
Next tag is stamped with the stamp title in Pumice Stone.
Floral tag is CI 411, Garden of flowers, I coloured the image in with Prismas, the butterfly is from the CI 410 stamp set.
The tag with the button was stamped with the bumble bee from CI 410
I embossed the dragonfly in platinum and layered it on the blossom round image which was coloured in with Prismas, this is also from the CI 410 stamp set
The last tag is using the CI 409 Dreaming of Dragonflies which I stamped with versamark and the used perfect pearls to create the background before adding the buttercup image again from CI 410 and again coloured in with Prismas.

CI 409 Dreaming of Dragonflies

CI 410 Butterfly Morning and Wildflower Afternoons

CI 411 Garden of Flowers

The photos are of my hubby and Grandson Zachary,
just before he was walking and causing trouble,
Now there is no stopping me
have a great week
