Midnight Crafter

Sorry long post today but I'm sitting with a cuppa so you might want to grab one as well....are you sitting comfortably.....yes...then I'll begin.
Yesterday I was think that I was losing my mojo and needed some inspiration to kick start it again and then I saw an image that is on a challenge site that I'd not entered before called  Art Creations Friday they had an image of a veiled lady that you had to use somewhere in your project, so that was it I was off again.I have never altered a CD before and this weeks challenge at Creative Inspirations is to alter a CD.....good excuse to have a go.

The stamp for the arched door is from Crafty Individuals and was stamped onto silver metal using Staz On I then added texture to the door panels and cut through the metal to open the door so that the image could sit behind......be careful as the metal is sharp so to dull the edges I burnished then with a paper stump and then textured the edges so that they were smoothe. The charm tags at the bottom were made the same way. The challenge this week at Gothic Arches is to make a tag with an arch and the challenge at Kard Krazy is to make a tag with words or a quote.....my words are the silver charms at the bottom....Cherish art. Silver is the theme at Ink on my Fingers. Spring is the theme atWeekend taggers....have gone for the colour blue as my interpretation....blue skys, flowers.

The challenge at Gingersnap Creations is to use some thing found......well I have that key that I found ages ago in my purse and thought it was time it got used as its perfect for this project....well I think it is lol.

The textured side panel is from Terra and is painted using black and grey acrylic paint with light blue Viva precious metal highlighted over that. I then added another piece of silver metal on the other side using a Kabuka mould and just picked out a small part of it to use, the whole project was then glimmer misted with Denin Blue. The challenge at Quixotic is to called heavy metal....not rockin but using lots of metal i.e. charms, pins etc.
