Sketch n Stash.....

Morning all hope you are all well and not sniffing, coughing and sneezing like me, I manage to work up until Christmas and then when I have a break out come the germs and bugs, mind you it sounds like quite a few of you are suffering, I think we should move Christmas to another month and then we might all be fighting fit for the Christmas holidays.Saying that I had a lovely Christmas, popped round to see my Grandsons and daughter on Christmas morning and then they came round in the afternoon and then came back on Boxing day for their tea, now its back to work for me, well for a day  then I'm off again for a couple of days.......definitely crafting then.

Today sees the last challenge for 2013 at Sketch n Stash, but we will be back next week 6th January ready for another year of sketch challenges.
This fortnight we are being sponsored by
......and if you are really quick they have a sale on until tomorrow.

I have used the Molly Fairy image coloured in with Prismas, added glitter to her wings and gold stickles to her wand, the papers are from First Edition Floral Pavillion, the sentiment is from Papermania and is my oldest stash, the pearls and ribbon are my newest stash as they were in the draws of my new storage cube that I had off hubby at Christmas, love spinning it round and you can get lots of bits n bobs in it.

Just leaves me to say....
A Happy New Year to you all
hugs and best wishes

Sketch n Stash....

Morning peeps, would someone please slow down time, its going at a rate of knots and I've got such a lot to fit in. Saturday we went to a  birthday party for Zachary as he is now 1, his brother Ethan helped him open his presents, and then played with them, thats brothers for you.

Managed to finish off the last bits of Christmas shopping yesterday, now just the job of wrapping them all.....I'm thinking gift bags for easy solutions, we do so much gift wrapping in the shop that when it comes round to doing my own, I've gone off the idea.

Season Greetings.....

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas.........now that will all get you humming along, my trees are up I spent most of Monday putting up the main one and decorating the rest of the room, this year I decided to sprinkle fake snow over the tree and underneath, Ethan came into the house this morning took one look at the tree and started scooping the snow up sprinkling it every where, he was so wired before going to school with excitement.......feel sorry for his teacher. I also have a remote control to switch the lights on and off and of course thats another gadget he wants to play with.

Thought I would share with you a card that I have had on my desk for the best part of a week playing around with, started off cutting out the window arches, then I found an image that I had done ages ago, using a Crafty Individual stamp CI365 Ferns and Butterflies which is stamped on a background that I made using Treasure Gold guilding pastes, I did add glitter to parts of it and textured snow to the ground, then I cut in half and mounted behind the two windows, the trees are Marianne dies. The snowflake is a Joy die, this I embossed in white twinkle Wow powder.
Don't forget that you can still enter the challenge at Crafty Individuals, the theme is make something Festive.

Ooh La la.....

Bonjour to you all, last night was our works Christmas party, we went to M's which is a wonderful place to go for a meal and beauty treatment, each area has its own, sofas table for dinner and enormous chandalier so you can relax and chat whilst waiting for treatments, and as an added bonus on the walls are glass shelves with handbags, shoes and jewelry to tempt you, which my sister did get tempted when she spied a gorgeous pair of shoes which she just had to take home with her.

this is my fabbie work team after a chilled out pamper and delicious meal.
On the name plates on the doors it says "Princess sleeping". Hard to do when
everyone is having such a good time laughing and chatting.

Had to include this pic of Jackie tryig on one of the fun fur coats
........she was made this coat as it so suited her.

Anyway back to Monday morning which means that we have a new challenge for you at Ooh a La Creations, the theme this fortnight is to use a doiley differently, I cut two in half joined them together then I scored at half inch intervals and paper pleated them  to make a rosette, which I then layered up with more flowers to create a large flower, I then added frantage in gold and white to create a more vintage look. The image and papers come from the Yesterdays Memories CD

I'm off today so I will be spending it putting up the Christmas tree, I still need to get round to writing cards and posting them, for some reason it doesn't feel like Christmas and its going to creep up on me at the last moment. Talking of Christmas though I had a lady in the shop yesterday with her two small daughters looking for advent calendars, apparently the youngest one, about three had eaten all of hers and then ate her sisters, when asked why she told her Mum that if she ate them all the chocolates Santa would come quicker.......awwwww she was soooooo sweet and I do like her reasoning, I just had to find her another one to replace the ones she'd eaten.
